"Property just as described. Slight problem on Christmas Day, but this was responded to immediately. It needed to reset the fire alarm but was resolved quickly. However, there was a "bleep" sound from the control box in the hall after this, which was very close to the pillow of the lower bunk where our son slept. His sleep was interrupted, but otherwise all went as planned.

"We had the most incredible stay at this beautiful property in the Lake District. From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming and thoughtfully prepared. The location was perfect: peaceful and secluded, but only a short drive (or a long, scenic walk!) to some amazing views, great pubs, and some fantastic hiking trails. "The house was everything we needed, opposite a pub and the swimming pool. The villagers were very friendly and helpfull, especially in the swimming pool. Unfortunately the internet stopped working on the third day but the rental company responded out of hours to help sort it out.."

"The cottage is quirky with exposed wooden beams in the upstairs rooms. Suited us fine for a three night stay. Spotlessly clean and in a quiet location. The Chalet tea rooms does a very nice breakfast and is right next door. Keswick is an easy walk of about a mile.There is no village shop."
