Spacious Double Condo on Tybee with Pool

Second floor premier unit featuring two kitchens, four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Get twice the amount of space with all the privacy you need for a relaxing vacation on Tybee's North Beach. Rental includes access to a large balcony overlooking Jaycee park with rocking chairs and room to stretch out. Only a short walk to North Beach lets enjoy the sand and surf or a bite to eat at the North Beach Grill.

Pool Seasonality: The Barracks Pool is open year-round. It is heated on the following date range:
October 1 – December 15
March 1 – May 30
The pool is not and will not be heated from December 15 through March 1 as the air temps are too cool to maintain an adequate swimming temp.

Cleaning Precautions: After each guest checks out, we have professional housekeepers clean each vacation home from top to bottom with disinfectant, wiping down all surfaces and floors. All towels and linens are professionally laundered and individually vacuumed packed until needed. When the housekeepers are complete a member of our team inspects the home, using gloves and/or disinfectant wipes, to ensure nothing was missed and restock any cleaning supplies. We strive to provide the most comfortable environment for your stay.

We had a nice long girls weekend at The Barracks. 5 minute walk to nice beach, easy access to hwy to Savannah. Recommend The Sea Wolf restaurant which you can walk to. The views from the rooms are a soccer field or a parking lot, but we very much enjoyed a cocktail on the porch in the rocking chairs.

Fun stay from ages 22-81

Great updated place to stay on Tybee. Not gonna lie, the island is dated but very quaint. Easy access to the beach, drinking establishments, and food. Very close to Savannah! Barracks is a great location. While we had an issue with an applicants and a clean bed, both were quickly resolved. We would come back.

Beautiful home in a great location

We absolutely loved Tybee Island, the house, and the VRBO company! I'll start with the company. They reached out to let us know that the property we had initially booked would be surrounded with a youth group during our stay and asked if we'd like to move to a different location. This small act of kindness MADE OUR TRIP- it would have been very difficult to celebrate a 50th bday under the other circumstances. Next, the house is BEAUTIFUL! We had a small issue with a couple of the old doorknobs and one of the toilets, but overall loved everything about the house. The pool and the pool house were really wonderful places to hang out. Finally, Tybee Island is absolutely enchanting. We were lucky enough to be there for their Christmas parade which starts on 6th St, right by the house! Got to speak to many of the residents during the parade too- everyone was so kind! We'll definitely be back!!

Promise broken

The freezer was broke and we had food in there for our stay. They promise 100.00 refund and they never refunded the money. Also the water was not hot, slightly warm. We got locked outside the property because we went out to eat because the food in the freezer was no good. We called the office and they said that door should not be locked, so he went over to the office to unlock the door..I think we should be refunded more than 100.00.

Beautiful Property with Lots of room

It was clean, updated, quiet from Wednesday until Friday night then other renters came in and it became a little noisy. The front porch had rocking chairs and it was very relaxing sitting out early morning and drinking coffee or sitting out at sunset. Pool area was very nice with lots of seating and tables. Unfortunately it was cool at night so the heated swimming pool was still cold. Close to everything. Walmart and Publix about a 15 minute drive. Pirate parade was nice and entertaining. We ate at all local places. Crab Shack was wonderful as well as Pier 16 and Erika Davis Lowcountry. Would definitely rent again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Barracks. We had 4 couples so the two connecting units worked out perfectly. We enjoyed the pool and the beach, which was only a short drive by golf cart or car.

Beautiful property

We loved this property, it was perfectly renovated! Great pool! I could have sat on the porch reading all day. The location was great, we loved being across from the park and it was an easy walk to the beach and restaurants. We will definitely be back!

Gorgeous inside and out

This property was one of the best I have ever stayed at, it was so impressive. As a group of 4 women, we actually had two adjoining units to give us 4 bedrooms, each with their own bathroom which was lovely! The units were bright and airy with tall ceilings and all the furnishings and amenities you may need. Both units even had laundry, one in unit, the other had an assigned laundry closet downstairs. The beds were all very comfy, and we all slept wonderfully. The units do have A/C but each bedroom also has overhead fans which was nice as it wasn’t quite hot enough to need A/C but a little air movement was appreciated. The tv’s in both living rooms had access to Netflix and Hulu among other things. The balcony on the front is a peaceful place to spend time. It extends the entire length of the building, with multiple rocking chairs and cushioned patio furniture. It overlooks a large park with sports fields, walking trail and playground. The beach and lighthouse are just a short walk away. There is also plenty of parking in a large gravel lot. However, if you want to have a little extra fun, I would suggest renting a golf cart, a rental place is just down at the corner so an easy walk. The building has plenty of parking as I said, and also has a spot to plug in an electric cart in back if you choose that option. Overall, we absolutely loved the property, and the island, and had a magnificent time there, only leaving us wishing we could have stayed longer.

Family stay in Savannah

Great home away from home option. Stayed here for our son’s wedding in Tybee Island and was the perfect location for the whole week to do things in downtown Savannah and attend the wedding.

Beautiful condo in quiet location

Very nicely appointed condo, great on-site pool. Property has 6 condos total so the pool never felt busy or crowded. Park location is amazing with a really nice playground, walking track and disc golf course. Easy walk to the beach. Short drive to South Tybee.

Great Property

The Barracks is a great property on the north end of the island. The unit we rented was perfect for our party of 8. The property managers were very responsive and accommodating. If we return to Tybee this will be our first choice.

Home Away from Home

The Barracks are gorgeous, professionally decorated, the beds were very comfortable and it was exactly as shown on the site. The location was perfect, walkable to the lighthouse, beach, and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our coffee and wine on the large porch. There is a walking track, disc golf, and a soccer field just pass the front lawn. We plan to make this our annual girlfriend home away from home.

My husband and I plus 6 teens stayed in units 5&7. With a big group it’s hard to please everyone, but there was NO complaints from anyone. They all took advantage of the game room downstairs, the pool, the rocking chairs on the decks, and enjoyed Jaycee Park. I highly recommend The Barracks.

Charming area and place

I loved the whole historic vibe around the barracks . This area is full of history from Fort Screven . The lighthouse is within walking distance and the old oaks around the barracks give it that old southern look . The area is very peaceful and tucked away . It is across from a park and walking track which is helpful if you have kids . My friends and I would love to end our evening rocking on the porch and relaxing . . The main part of the beach is a five minute drive and many restaurants nearby . We had a great communication with the property managers and they were very quick to address any issues . We will love to stay here again . It is very much as pictured . You get the best of both worlds the old in the surroundings and the new inside the building .

Excellent family stay!

Lots of room for the kids to spread their wings. Very secluded area off the road. Loved the pool! The beautiful park infront of the home was wonderful to look at from the balcony! I highly recommend this location to families!

Nice property

The property is older but had been nicely remodeled with updated amenities. Good location. There's quite a few stairs but the place is gorgeous. Property management was responsive and helpful during stay and immediately addressed a check in issue. Highly recommend!

Tybee vacation Veterans weekend 2019

The unit we stayed in 5 and 7 the Barracks- Exquisite 15 Meddin drive. We loved the whole place. Very clean. The beds we're comfortable. A beautiful place. We would definitely come back. The owner was easy to get a hold of and very nice. Thank you.
