Had a fantastic stay. Lots of pluses about this place!!
Excellent space, clean, modern, bright. Well presented in a rural location.
Very well equipped, found everything we needed, plus a welcome pack including tea, coffee, biccies, wash liquid, soap, loo rolls etc. Doggy cushion and towel provided.
Slept like a baby, the bed and linen extremely comfortable. Nice dark, quiet room.
Our dog was very happy with it too, lovely floor to ceiling patio doors and a window in the kitchen with feeding station so they can also enjoy the view. Really lovely
TV good, Smart with usual apps and Netflix.
Plenty of hot water, heating good, warms up very quickly. We adjusted with the thermostat, but also the radiator valves. There was one day when we came back and it was cold and couldn't get it to come on. We called the office and they were great. Sorted out very quickly and sent a maintenance guy out within 20 mins and it was fixed.
We loved the location. We were unsure about which way and where we were allowed to walk. The owner very helpful and friendly gave us the options to walk towards the lake, both straight from the door. It's just a 15 minute stroll to The Oyster Catcher. Following up through he sand dunes, the beach is just beyond. Muddy boots could be needed for this, however.
A little map may be helpful to be provided for people who stay.
It's worth mentioning about the RAF base which is only a couple of miles away. We enjoyed watching the planes. There are a lot, and it can be loud as many are jets. There's an area you can drive to just beyond Rhosneigr which allows you to view the run way for take off and landings. This is quite something! The beach just 10 mins walk along the track from there is absolutely stunning!!
There are a couple of downsides we found with the property, that are worth mentioning.
The rear outside space is small, which was fine for us. But it needs a bit of work, fence, sloping top step. The view is lovely from the cabin, but unless standing, once descended the steps the fence blocks the view.
The hot tub didn't look very appealing, and given it requires a bit of effort to fill and heat, we weren't tempted.
The sofa has seen better days, we used the big flat cushions to sit on, but it really needs an upgrade. Very low, and no cushioning and slopes towards the centre, so not comfortable or supportive.
I know the ownership has just changed hands so potentially this will be rectified in due course.
Lastly, and perhaps just an oversight. There were a number of poos in the gravel in the small fenced area at the front of the property. A few days worth in varying stages of decomposition. So not the most pleasant thing to arrive to, as had to pick it all up as had trodden into one that hasn't seen.
Overall though, this is a great property, we loved our stay. And thought it was extremely good value for money.
