Lovely Lockwood River Cottage

A cute cosy 2 bedroom Lockwood holiday home.
Only a short walk through Cherry Lane to the famous trout fishing Tongoririo River, with the town shops only a few minutes walk away.
Lake Taupo is minutes away by car with lovely picturesque bays and picnic spots. The ski feilds are 30 minutes drive away.
There are so many other activities to do eg white water rafting. tramping ,fishing,sking, and dinning out etc or just relaxing.
The cottage is surrounded by beautiful trees and on a still night you can hear the river. The cottage is very relaxing and comfortable, it has been insulated and a heat pump /aircon has recently been installed

Charming, clean, well equipped, excellent comms

This cottage was a fantastic base for exploring the area: really well equipped for the cold weather. Comfortable beds. Really well set up for self-catering. We loved how quiet it was and walking to the river three minutes away, but still being so close to shops/supermarket etc. Clear instructions from property manager, he was super helpful too. Can't recommend the place highly enough!!

Great bach, has everything you need for a getaway. So close to the river for some fly fishing, and a great base for activities around Turangi, Taupō &Tongariro. National Park.

Perfect break away

What a gorgeous spot. Just loved the location which was so central to everything we wanted to do and a beautiful place to retire back to after walking, mountaineering and hot pooling. Bruce was a very communicative host. Thank you.

Great bach near the river

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely bach, it had everything we needed. It's a short walk to a beautiful riverside walk and cafe. And a short drive to Turangi shops and the trout centre where my daughter caught a trout. Bruce was a friendly and helpful host.
