Wonderful, remote and idyllic

Fantastic property, well managed and made for a relaxing stay. The house itself is in a slightly remote area so it’s a 15-20 min walk to the few local restaurants, also 20 mins to town and nearby Cenotes. There are some bikes to use if you choose. BUT the best news is ocean views from all 3 bedrooms which is pure heaven. Just make sure to wear reef footwear to cross the rocks into the tropical water - which is steps away from the heated infinity pool.

Fantastic Stay in Tulum

We gave the house a 5 star rating, but only because we aren't allowed to give it a 6 star rating on VRBO. The house is incredibly well-appointed and the housekeeper and groundskeeper are the real gems of the property. While the location is a bit difficult to get to, it's totally worth it and the recommendations of the homeowners make getting a cab and exploring the surroundings seem easy. There is plenty to do in walking distance (cenote, restaurants, etc.) and grocery delivery and chef service make staying at the house so easy. We were traveling with young kids and an elderly parent. The house was perfect for that. The kids spent their day in the pool, playing in the sand and snorkeling and playing in the bay with the protected reef. The adults spent our days enjoying the warm sunshine because the housekeepers kept the house in perfect order. We will be back soon! We strongly recommend this property.

Breathtaking.

The house is simply stunning. Everything is extremely thoughtfully laid out, with amazing views from every direction. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived and the caretakers were so kind and easy. The kitchen is well equipped. We lived in the pool.It is quite pulled off from, well, most everything, which to us was a plus. If you're looking for the party scene, the trip in and out would get tiresome. But if you want to relax in paradise, it's hard to beat.

Amazing property!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning oceanfront house, and it was an experience to remember. The house itself is spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully designed. The large, open spaces and modern amenities made it feel like a true home away from home.One of the highlights of this property is the amazing pool. Overlooking the ocean, it offers breathtaking views and a perfect spot to relax and unwind. Whether you're taking a morning swim or enjoying a sunset dip, the pool area is simply spectacular.A special mention must go to the housekeepers, Francisco and Nidia. Their attention to detail and dedication to maintaining the house in pristine condition were evident throughout our stay. 5-Star Stay at a Stunning Tulum Beach Home – A Return Visit!

We loved this beautiful beach home so much that we came back this year, and it was just as amazing as we remembered! The house itself is gorgeous, perfectly maintained, and incredibly comfortable. The daily housekeeping kept everything spotless, which made our stay feel even more luxurious and relaxing.One of the highlights was hiring Chef Daveed’s personal chef service. Samuel cooked for us right in the home, and his meals were absolutely fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It was such a treat to enjoy restaurant-quality dining without having to leave the house. That said, we also took advantage of the home's great location and walked to some nearby restaurants, which were equally delightful.The neighborhood is peaceful and upscale. While there are a few hotels along the road, they’re tucked between large, palatial homes, so the area doesn’t feel touristy at all. It’s the perfect mix of privacy and convenience.We can’t recommend this place enough and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Wonderful villa with stunning sea views

We stayed at this beautiful property for 9 nights during the Christmas holidays. Our very high expectations were completely met: the villa is beautiful and the views are stunning. Everything you could possibly need is available and Fransisco and Nidia are there every day so it’s kept spotless. We loved the small beach and spent every day outside enjoying the weather and the scenery. The owners keep in touch and are very responsive. I would definitely recommend this property and I hope we’ll be able to come back someday!

Beautiful, clean, quiet home on the Bay

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Pelagia. Clean, comfortable, quiet, stocked, and a perfrct sunset view. Our mornings on the porch/beach were a great start.Watching lizards, hermit crabs and wild cats play was a joy. The pool was refreshing on hot days. The ocean was warm and we could snorkel, kayak and walk on the rocks and explore tide pools. We saw plenty of fish and sting rays. No turtles when we were there. Bring good water shoes for rocks. Comfortable patio furniture and lounge chairs. The ceiling fans kept the bugs away. Inside, the kitchen had all the amenities you needed. The rooms were spacious, bed comfy and ac worked great. The rooftop was perfect at night to have a drink and watch the stars with a cool breeze and watch the bats. Fransisco and Nidia were so kind, attentive and made our stay so easy. Fresh towels, perfectly made beds, an extremely clean house and pool. Tip them well, they deserve it. We hired Chef Dorotea for some brunches and dinners. Her team is outstanding, the food was some of he best I ever had and we always had leftovers.Beautiful flowers and table designs and even shared some recipes with us. We walked down to Bsky for dinner two nights and had great service and food. The road in and out is a challenge. Be prepared for MANY very large and small potholes full of water.It takes at least 15 min one way due to the bad road. Get an SUV. The master bedroom has beautiful skylights, but you'll need ear plugs if it rains due to very loud rain noise.

This is the sort of holiday villa that you dream about!

We came from UK with our 2 kids - 9 and 11. We were blown away by the villa, and felt relaxed as soon as we stepped in. There was an amazing welcome basket. The villa has huge rooms with lovely artwork, each with an amazing vista of the ocean and garden. We watched the sunrise on the seats on the rooftop. We loved the pool with the sitting areas and cascade waterfall, and swinging in the hammocks in the garden with amazing flowers and wildlife. There are sun loungers on the sand and then a few steps over some rocks to the sea. It gradually gets deeper off the beach, and in a calm bay so perfect for us and the kids to walk/swim/kayak out to snorkel around the areas of coral. We visited the great hotel restaurants nearby and the large Chedraui supermarket with everything you need (amazing bakery!) which is a few mins drive away in Tulum. A very friendly Francisco and Nidia visited daily and kept the place spotless and well maintained. Jennifer was very friendly and informative. You can tell they all take extreme pride on ensuring the place is maintained to a 5 star, luxury standard with great attention to detail. We visited the Tulum archealogical site and Akumal monkey sanctuary but did not really need to leave the villa – there is so much to enjoy there. It is an oasis of calm and luxury. We all loved it!

Beautiful Week in Paradise

My husband and I traveled to Casa Pelagia for a weeklong stay with our twin four-year-old girls and my mother. We were expecting the property to be gorgeous based on the photos. Unbelievably, the real thing was even better! Francisco and Nidia, the caretakers, were kind and do a wonderful job. Jennifer, the host, was great to work with and promptly answered my endless questions in advance of our stay. We initially booked a reservation at a beach club in Tulum but ended up cancelling because we were so enamored with the beach club that is the backyard of Casa Pelagia! It was so luxurious to have a view of the beach and pool from EVERY room in the house. The location of the property is ideal in many ways because it is located on the Bay. So you can avoid the seaweed pileups, the extreme wind, and dangerous waves. We were able to easily paddleboard, kayak, and snorkel with our kids! On the other hand, the property is a bit remotely located, so it was a little difficult for us to get around with our small children. We rented a car and were still able to visit many of the restaurants on the bay. Our favorite meal was at the Alea Hotel - about a 7 minute drive. We would love to come back and stay again some day. Thank you!!

Best stay yet in Tulum!

Our 2nd time to Tulum but first time at this property… from one clean fanatic to another, this home is spotless! We fell in love with Francisco and his wife, sweetest ever! (Make sure you Tip them well, they deserve it) home is exactly what you see in the pictures and fully stocked with everything you need to enjoy yourself! Be prepared for dust if you rent a car the road is dust and gravel. The restaurants on the road were ok, but for great lunch go to Cenote Casa… soo good! If we come back to Tulum for a 3rd time, we are staying here again! Worth every penny for the best home and house managers ever! Thank you Jennifer and Mike for a great stay! Make sure you bring water shoes or Teva sandals it’s very rocky over off the beach, however great snorkeling and kayaking!! Stay here! Look no further!

A Piece of Heaven-just what we needed!

Stunningly designed and decorated home with top notch amenities and multiple areas to enjoy a variety of views and activities. It’s our second time here (2019) and absolutely found it to be even better than our earlier visit. Everything was perfect with great attention and response from the host and local grounds and housekeepers Francisco and Nidia. We all needed a rest from remodeling projects and this home, it’s views, amazing bird watching, dips in the pool, paddling in the sea provided just what we craved.

We had the most incredible stay at Casa Palagia!! Pictures do not do this property justice. We are a family of 5, this home easily accommodated all of us. Not only is the house aesthetically pleasing, but it is fully equipped with everything you and your family will need for a comfortable stay. The ambience from the moment you walk in is relaxing, welcoming, and clean!! This property is meticulously maintained. Aside from the beauty we must mention the amazing housekeeper/maintenance team that came in daily to assist with the upkeep. Francisco and Nidia went above and beyond to accommodate! Title: A Tropical Paradise in Tulum - A Hidden Gem!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible house in Tulum, Mexico, and the experience surpassed all expectations. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were captivated by the sheer beauty and charm of the place. The house is even more stunning than the pictures, and every detail has been thoughtfully designed to create a true tropical paradise. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the exquisite beach, pool and garden area. Surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant flowers, it felt like our own private oasis. The pool was a refreshing escape from the Tulum heat, and the comfortable loungers provided the perfect spot for relaxation and sunbathing. Our hosts were exceptional, providing prompt and helpful assistance throughout our stay. They went above and beyond by recommending a reliable taxi service, a wonderful photographer, introducing us to the talented Chef Daveed (Markus and Andrea, who prepared delightful meals), and even suggesting fantastic local restaurants and grocery delivery options. Their insider tips made our vacation truly special. The neighborhood was safe and welcoming, allowing us to explore on foot without any concerns. We took the host's advice and ventured to Casa Cenote, just down the road, a breathtaking natural wonder that added an extra layer of magic to our trip. The perfect home and location near Tulum

My wife and I and two teenage children and my parents spent a week at this beautiful home. Everything was as advertised, even better. The home is beautiful, clean, well appointed and even better than the pictures. The pool and backyard are excellent, just steps from the water. The beds were comfortable as was all of the seating inside and outside the home. The entire rental, check-in, check-out, and communication process was smooth and easy. The owners went out of their way to make sure everything was in order for our stay and Francisco was there every day to clean and check in on us to make sure we were comfortable. The location is just a few miles north of Tulum within 10 - 15 minutes if a number of really good restaurants. I’d recommend this home to anyone and would absolutely stay here again.

Tulum Trip

Our visit to Tulum, and to this house was five star in all respects. The house is everything described and more. The condition, furnishing, cleanliness and service are world class. Further, communication with the owner was beyond good. For example, as a heavy thunderstorm approached, Jennifer, who was in western Mexico, texted to tell us how the generator would kick in if the power went off. Sure enough, two minutes later, both things happened! I cannot recommend this house mor highly..

Beautiful property

We had an amazing stay at Casa Pelagia! Without a doubt, we’d stay again. However, some things that would push it over the top would be seating on the rooftop and a/c in the common areas and not just the bedrooms. It was perfectly cleaned and the caretakers were wonderfully sweet and helpful.

Family Reconnected

What a wonderful vacation. Casa Pelagia is beyond beautiful and has everything that you need to enjoy yourself. Jennifer the host is amazing. She provided us with transportation, grocery and personal chef contacts which we used and they were amazing. Francisco and Nidia kept the house in prestige condition. As a family with two teens this is what we needed to disconnect from our everyday life and reconnect as a family..

Getaway in Paradise

Our family loved everything about this beautiful property! We felt safe and comfortable from the moment we arrived. The gardens are stunning and attract many birds including hummingbirds. The house itself was very well designed and elegantly decorated. We preordered our groceries and alcohol and cooked breakfast every morning. Groceries were so fresh and the kitchen is very well stocked. There was nothing we needed. The backyard has the most amazing view of the ocean from all floors. Pour yourself a cool one, tuck into a hammock and enjoy the sounds of the ocean and the nature and feed your soul. We were always anxious to get back whenever we left. At night we would walk up the road to one of 5 or 6 restaurants for some fresh and fabulous meals. They were all good. Snorkelled in the cenote just up the road as well as right off the beach. Was a bit shallow but still fun to get out and enjoy the water. When we wanted to go out we contacted Joel Morales Lopez, recommended by the owners, and for good reason. He was always so pleasant and prompt. If he wasn’t nearby, he would send another driver that was. He even delivered cervezas on occasion when we were low. The bikes were great to have on hand for a little exercise and quick jaunt to the store up the road. Last but certainly not least, are the fabulous couple, Nidia and Francisco that take care of the property. We already miss their smiles. They were so pleasant and kind and kept the property pristine. Always willing to help with any questions we may have had and always with a smile on their faces. Can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay here and hope to one day return. Thank you Mike and Jennifer for sharing your beautiful home. It was what we all needed.
