  • Casa Cavu está ubicada en la playa de arena blanca de Tankah Tres, a 80 millas al sur del aeropuerto de Cancún y a 10 minutos al norte de Tulum. Relájese alrededor de la piscina junto al océano y pase sus días "pasando el rato" alrededor de esta hermosa casa de playa. Dos restaurantes, una pequeña tienda de conveniencia y un cenote de agua dulce se encuentran a pocos pasos.



    Diseño general: Casa Cavu es una casa de playa de dos niveles con tres dormitorios y plano de planta abierto. El nivel principal consiste en una sala de estar abierta con pantalla plana de TV vía satélite y DVD, y un comedor con barra de desayuno y cocina moderna totalmente equipada. Hay WiFi en toda la casa. Las puertas corredizas de vidrio resaltan la vista que da a la piscina junto a la playa y a la bahía de Tankah. Dos habitaciones se encuentran en el nivel principal y comparten un baño. La habitación king inferior con aire acondicionado disfruta de ventanas con vista al mar y tiene acceso a la playa a través de puertas correderas. El segundo dormitorio tiene una cama queen y una cama individual con aire acondicionado y vista al jardín.


    La suite principal se encuentra en el nivel superior y está amueblada con cama king, baño privado y aire acondicionado.

We arrived to find a huge construction site next door. Only 10 feet away, were 30 men crashing and banging from 8am to 6pm. I had contacted the rental company to make sure this would not be the case because I had seen reviews mentioning work before and was assured that no work had been done on the site in the last 6 months - the cleaners told us that work had been going on for at least the last three months. So complete misinformation and one can only imagine it was deliberate.

We were a 3-generation family (ages 3.5, 67 and late 20-year-olds) visiting Tulum for the 1st time. We had an excellent experience. Casa Cavu was a choice location. We had plenty of space for all of us, excellent hosts and wonderful day trips to nearby Maya ruins, cenotes and the downtown area. We enjoyed the kitchen, grill and pool every day. We even broke through the sargassum with the kayaks to do some snorkeling. Looking forward to a 2nd trip to this wonder location.

Great stay! Wouldn’t have changed a thing. Privacy and seclusion. Outside of the city to avoid tons of people but close enough to come in enjoy and close to all the outside attractions! Jose who maintained the property was great, had fresh food for snacks and was out going in maintaining or pleasure during the stay!

Wonderful!

We stayed for 8 nights and had the best time! The pool was lovely and clean, the beach was very private feeling and we floated and snorkeled in the ocean everyday right there. Jose and Delfina were WONDERFUL! They made us homemade salsa (the best we have ever had!) and guacamole several times, cut us fresh coconuts to drink and eat and were there for anything we needed or to answer any questions we had. We set up massages at the house and several excursions through Akumal Direct and everything was flawless. Loved every minute here!

Wonderfully beautiful waterfront near Talum and Akumal

Casa Cavu is a beautiful house and made our stay perfect. Pool and beach were picture perfect and soooo relaxing. Kitchen was large and dining room beautiful which allowed us to have wonderful diners (wonderful grocery store in nearby Talum). The beds were wonderfully made by senora Rocio and she clean the house every day just like at a 5 star hotel :-) Isidro and Rocio were just excellent and made our stay extremely pleasant. Talum and Akumal were just 15 minutes. The Kayaks, Snorkeling, and a local Cenote just down the street added to the fun. Can't wait to return to Talum & Akumal and would definitely stay at Casa Cavu again!

Casa Cavu is wonderful!

It is a wonderful property. We loved the view and being able to walk to a few restaurants. The location is perfect. It’s a quiet area with a Cenote within walking distance. It’s convenient to Akumal and Tulúm. There is construction next door, but it wasn’t disruptive. The groundskeeper and housekeeper were attentive. A place on the beach was cleared daily. Some of the furniture needs an upgrade. The living room sofa was difficult to sit on. Cushions were uncomfortable and didn’t stay put. It could be a problem for people with limited mobility. More/nicer outdoor furniture could really put this house at the next level. We would rent this house again.

Lovely and accurate getaway

The house was exactly as described, and all of my questions prior to our stay were answered promptly. The managing company was attentive and helped us feel prepared for our stay, then were just as prompt to respond whenever we reached out during our stay. The caretakers on the property were sweet and kept the house and beach clean and fresh water and towels stocked. On a rainy day, they brought us fresh coconut and hot chocolate! The house was a great home base for us as we explored nearby akumal beach, cenotes, and tulum ruins, and we made great use of the pool. We ordered groceries to be delivered ahead of time, but there are plenty of great grocery store options on the way from cancun airport or a 10 min drive away in tulum. There are also great restaurant options a short walk away. The road from the highway to the house is very bumpy - not so bad that it kept us from leaving the house when we wanted, but we won’t miss it. Overall a quiet, safe home for our family trip to Mexico!

Casa Cavu private paradise

Other than difficulty finding the property (directions need updated) and the major pot holes in the road in and out of the place - everything else was pleasant. The construction going on next door got loud at times. There were several restaurants within walking distance but not much else without leaving the area. If you are looking for a remote tranquil place to stay this is it. Beach was pretty private with not many people around when we were there. Very close to Tulum where we did grocery shopping. The caretakers are exceptional. We had one issue with the safe not opening, I contacted the property managers via email and they were on it quickly enough. No issues at all with the house itself. Wifi worked great and we were able to bring in several main stream television channels. Property is very secure.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you're looking for a quieter vacation experience this is perfect. Very nice Bay with great snorkeling right in front of the house. The water access is Rocky but if you have your fins on it's not a problem. Very few people on the beach so it feels like you have the whole place to yourself. There are approximately five local restaurants in nearby boutique hotels you can walk to and a cenote. The home was very clean and The master bed was comfortable. Unfortunately the couches really are not. But you don't spend much time in the house anyway. My only complaint would be the lack of hot water. In order to take a shower you need to turn the hot water only on and it's lukewarm at best. Overall a great vacation property with excellent on-site managers. Felt safe and well taken care of the entire time. Also it's an easy 10-minute drive into Tulum if you're looking to visit a busier area.

Paradise found!

We had such an amazing time at casa cavu. We spent most of our time relaxing on the beach, in the pool or on the nearby piers with hammocks. There are TONS of amazing sea shells and coral washed up on shore, if you love looking for shells, this will be perfect. The house was spotless, and the location feels secluded and private. The conditions for snorkeling were terrible because of the weather, so we didn’t get to do that, but if the weather was nicer, it would be a snorkeling paradise, the reef is right off the shore! We highly recommend letting isario (the caretaker) cook for you. He is an amazing chef. Him and his wife will give you a full service dining right in the house. Don’t miss out on his cooking! Our favorite was his tortilla soup, grilled fish and shrimp. Roccoio(?) the other caretaker kept the house SPOTLESS. She even mopped the floors every day. They take amazing care of the property. They even pick up the seaweed every morning. The dog, Lukey, was absolutely adorable and very well behaved. We really enjoyed having the dog around and he really completed our stay. He is just precious!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our recent stay in Casa Cavu particularly because of the staff! I can't thank them enough. They made our stay easy, like a hotel. The staff kept the house clean, gave us recommendations for local spots. They went far and above general Airbnb cleaning service. The home was lovely, very spacious, next to a beautiful shoreline. The entire shoreline was full of saragossa (seaweed) though they try to clean it every day. It is just too much to keep up; some other areas in the coast are worse. Though we didn't swim in this beach area we did enjoy the view and relaxing on the sand (soft sand). There are a few sea turtle nests on the property and hope a guest will be lucky to see them hatch in fall. We had plenty of lines, beach towels, etc. The area is guarded by security and very quiet. There is a hotel next door that makes great cocktails and delicious food. Note on the Construction: The crew was there on some days of our trip. The construction did not bother us though we were also out touring in the day time and it may bother some people. We would stay again with the construction and all.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Cavu!!

Our family stayed here in July of 2024. We really enjoyed our time in Casa Cavu! The family that cared for the property are wonderful! Carolina and Fernando are so nice and their son was such a cutie! They were always available and very helpful during our one week stay. Our boys saw pelicans, hermit crabs, ghost crabs, lizards and crabs, a sea urchin…while right on the property. They enjoyed that very much. I agree with other reviews take water shoes because it is a very rocky beach behind the house. We were able to snorkel and saw many fish and big shells. I would recommend renting a vehicle. We needed to get groceries right away the first day. We did rent a SUV for 4 days for the 6 of us. It was very easy and was delivered/picked up at the house. You definitely need a vehicle to get to Tulum.We went to Tulum daily while we had the vehicle…it’s probably less than 10 min to drive into town. It was very nice just drive to the cenotes and take your time and not be rushed like when you go on tours. We did have a lot of construction next door and it was loud but we made the best of our stay. We just played music while enjoying the pool. They did warn us when booking the trip that there would be construction going on. We had a chef come and cook us dinner out last night. It was delicious! We had a awesome trip! Problème location

Nous n’avons pas eu l’occasion d’accéder à cette propriété que nous avions réservé pour 5 nuits du 5 au 10 Juillet. Nous sommes arrivés le 5 Juillet au lendemain de l’ouragan Béryl, la conciergerie de la propriété (Akumal Direct) nous avait expliqué la veille que la villa serait temporairement fermée pour la nuit et qu’elle nous recontacterait le lendemain pour confirmer l’accès. Comprenant le caractère exceptionnel de cette situation, nous avons réservé un autre logement dans le voisinage de la villa en attendant une confirmation de la part du gestionnaire de la propriété. Nous avons recontacté la conciergerie plusieurs fois le 6 Juillet qui toujours en attente d’une confirmation de la part du gestionnaire de la propriété n’était ni en mesure de confirmer l’accès à la propriété avant le 8 Juillet au plus tôt, ni en mesure de confirmer comment le crédit des nuits déduites de la réservation initiale payée dans sa totalité s’effectuerait. Vue la complexité des conditions pour notre hôte, nous avions même proposé de percevoir un avoir sous forme de repas pour le reste du séjour dans la villa mais là encore aucune forme de confirmation de la part du gestionnaire ou de la conciergerie n’était possible. Après plusieurs messages le même jour, la conciergerie nous a annoncé avoir pu joindre le propriétaire et que à cause de possibles coupures d’électricité aux alentours, elle n’était plus en mesure de nous donner accès à la propriété.tres mauvaise expérience

lLUGAR MARAVILLOSO , EXPECTATIVAS NO CUMPLIDAS

Podemos decir que pasamos unos dias sensacionales, ya que la playa y la ubicación de la casa son excepcionales. La atención y el servicio de Don Isidro y Doña Rocio nos hicieron sentir confortados y seguros. Sin embargo, respecto expresamente a la CASA nos sentimos decepcionados, algo que nos parece deshonesto es que las fotografias que se muestran en la pagina de la calidad, los acabados, los espacios y los muebles no es precisamente la que uno encuentra al llegar. Podemos recomendar que se le realice un buen mantenimiento a las ventanas, los mosquiteros, los muebles, hay que cambiar trastes de cocinar. El tipo de muebles "rusticos" aunque gustan a muchas personas, no son confortables, son duros e incomodos, no encontramos un lugar para disfrutar comodamente una buena pelicula, ademas de que el tamaño de la t.v. no ayuda para ver desde la sala. El aire acondicionado de las recamaras, es sensacional, enfria deliciosamente, pero el area comun, sala , cocina y comedor son muy calientes (no me imagino si va uno en la epoca de mas calor) ha de ser muy dificil pasarla bien dentro de la casa. El area de la alberca es muy comoda, aunque para el precio de la renta, se podria tener una mesa mas presentable. Ojala realmente tomaran en cuenta las recomendaciones y dieran mantenimiento a la propiedad, el cambio de algunos muebles vendria bien! definitivamente seriamos clientes frecuentes .
