The housekeeping does a really good job on a mediocre hotel. The stairs are so rusted out I don’t even think they are using the upstairs right now. We just needed a bed and a shower. Bed was noisy but comfortable, the shower was stained but hot.

for a one night stay, it was ok. it was next to what looked like an abandoned building so it looked a bit iffy. the room was clean and the bed comfortable. there was no fan in the bathroom unfortunately. checking in took a while compared to other hotels we've been in.

Breakfast was terrible Juice machines empty, jug of orange blend in small frig. Coffee terrible, dumped it out.lobby fun of house plants lined up on all sides.staffcqas sorting flowers on all breakfast tables but 2. Construction all over, idle. Room has filty carpets. The lobby is like a bad 80’s horror movie. You can’t see in the windows because of the jungle of plants in the lobby. There are piles of papers and boxes everywhere. It’s like you are being welcomed into a hoarders house. The property behind this hotel is the creepiest thing I have ever seen.

Bugs in the bathroom. Drug deals all night in back parking lot, NO housekeeping in my room in the 3 nights I stayed there. A guy tried to sell me “a quarter paper” on the stairwell, telling me he had “real good stuff”. If there had been another room in town, I would have left before I even got my luggage to my room. Unfortunately, there was a parents weekend at the local college and no rooms were available.

No. Just no. Worst hotel choice we've ever made. We were desperate but staying in our own car may have been better than this. Creepy grounds, unclean (stains on bed, hair in shower), and in bad condition (mold on bathroom ceiling, smells like stale smoke from 1980). Again...just NO.

Lobby needs a good cleaning and it smelled of cigarette smoke. At check-in, the young girl received a few phone calls and then said my reservation was for a pet, non-smoking room and she had to spend a few minutes to move me to a pet-free, non-smoking room. We checked-in and left for dinner. When we came back to the room I found the bathroom to be dirty. The floor and tub had black hairs on it. The room had a musty closed-up smell. The beds appeared clean so we were going to try to suck it up. However, when we saw and killed a roach, we went to the desk. The lady at the desk told us she could not refund our money because it was more than 15 minutes since we checked-in. However, she apologized and showed us and let us inspect another room. The 2nd room was cleaner and because it was pretty late, we stayed. Due to the lobby needing cleaned and the condition of our first room, we skipped eating breakfast on site. This property is in a great location, just off the interstate ramp. However, it is in need of some major updates and repairs. Some parts of the building were boarded up and not being used and the courtyard was a mess. This property is in bad shape. And, the hotel behind this property is vacant and boarded up too. I know this is a budget hotel, but it really needs to be thoroughly cleaned and rooms better maintained.

It was dark so I couldn’t even see much until I actually got through the back of the parking and go to my room and discovered small roaches in the bathroom stain sheets, dirty floors. I was so scared to even lay on the bed, but after driving for so many hours and starting to feel lightheaded, I had to stay. It was the only hotel available in the area. Please do not stay here. I could not sleep. I just thinking of how horrible the place was it looked like a ghetto drug addict place are almost a great hotel for a scary movie in an abandoned place. I ended up leaving at about 3:30 in the morning because I just couldn’t even sleep as i was feeling unsafe.

Never Again

Thank goodness the rooms are better & cleaner than the lobby! When I first checked in all I could think was "if the room is anything like this, I'm out". Cluttered, dusty, & dirty. Being a Wyndham, I expected so much more. I usually enjoy their coffee & breakfast options at least. But, there was no way I was even attempting that. The rooms were upgraded and nicer. Beds were decent. Clean. One of the hand towels looked like someone had wiped their mouth on it after eating pizza. The shower curtain had black mold on it. Lamp shade was falling off between the beds. When i went to heat up my coffee in the morning (from Waffle House next door) I had to unplug the fridge to plus in the microwave. TV remote didnt work. When i finally turned the TV on manually, the sound didnt come on for about 20 minutes. There's a lovely burned hotel right behind it for a great view. This hotel also seems to have some permanent residents. Rooms smelled weird. Woke up to a woman on the balcony screaming at someone in the parking lot to "get away before she calls the cops!"

Place is falling apart, literally. Staircases are rusted and have giant holes in the concrete sidewalk. Do not stay here. Everything is nasty and crumbling. First room we were given hadn’t been cleaned at all. Second room raised questions on if sheets and towels were clean due to stains and hair all over. Shower water pressure was a trickle and barely any hot water. Room smelled moldy. Lobby smelled like cigarettes. At least the A/C worked eventually. Everything was so gross, we didn’t even trust the provided breakfast to not make us sick so we ate at the Waffle House next door.

Location was convenient to the venue however if the two rooms our party rented, this one was the only one worth the rate we paid. The other $200 room, y’all should be embarrassed to charge those exorbitant fees for such a meager room. Shame on you for price gouging because of supply & demand.

I never stayed at this hotel, I booked this hotel by accident, thinking it was the Smokehouse Lodge. I called the hotel and even had Hotel.com call to see if I could get a refund, or a voucher for a one night stay,I know it was my fault in doing this booking, but i would think the hotel would have accommodated my request with a good customer relations, but i was wrong they wouldnt give me either. After reading the reviews about this place, i wouldnt want to stay there anyway. Shame on hotels.com for having this dump on its list. And shame on this dump for not having better customer relations... I highly reccommend staying at the Smokehouse Lodge, stay clear from this place as they dont seem to care about the clients. And even tho this hotel is independently owned i would never stay at this chain of hotels ever because of how they handled this situation..
