This chalet-style home is located within the Northstar Resort Community and offers convenient access to the slopes and various amenities, including a recreation center complete with a gym, pool, hot tub, tennis courts, and game room. Hop on the complimentary shuttle that takes you from your driveway to The Village. Then, spend your evenings relaxing in the spacious living areas with your group and unwinding in the private hot tub under the stars.

Situated in the snowy Sierra Nevada Mountain range straddling the border between California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe offers stunning panoramic scenery and year-round adventure. Visitors flock here especially to ski and snowboard on dramatic slopes that seem to fall into the abyss of the lake’s cobalt blue water. Whether you’re looking for a day in the mountains or a booze cruise on the lake, you can have it all in Tahoe.

Each home is provided with 2 guest passes which allow exclusive access to the Northstar Resort Community (a nominal charge may apply for some activities). This entails very easy access to the slopes (free shuttle available throughout the neighborhood), as well as, other amenities provided through Northstar Property Owners Association (pool, spa, tennis, fitness center).

AvantStay provides a personalized hospitality experience to elevate your stay. With our Concierge Service, guests have access to our tech-enabled services like fridge stocking, private chefs, massages, transportation, special occasion celebrations, baby gear rentals, ski gear, beach gear, and more. For anything you need, we’re at your fingertips!

Home Truths:
- This home allows pets for a fee. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- Due to extreme wildfire risk, any type of outdoor wood burning fireplaces, fire pits, or charcoal grills are strictly prohibited. Violations will result in fines starting at $5,000 per Lake Tahoe short term rental regulations.
- Please note that during the winter months, all outdoor furniture, including the grills, will be unavailable.
- This home does not have AC.
- This home has a max overnight occupancy of 8 guests and a max daytime occupancy of 12 guests.
- Unauthorized parking at the Rec Center is strictly prohibited. Guests are only allowed to park while using the facilities. Any vehicle found parked all day will be subject to a fine of over $500.
- Please note there is NO trash pickup - guests will need to discard all trash at the designated Homeowners Dumpster Area. Instructions will be provided. Failure to discard trash will result in fines.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 30 days require a security deposit.

Wolf's Lair - Great Summer Stay in North Tahoe

The house was as described. We stayed for a week in late July and the weather was perfect. Warm days and cool evenings. Not having AC was not an issue, slept great with the windows open. House was clean and stocked with all necessities. Made use of the hot tub during the evenings which was clean and well maintained. We used the rec center for work outs, tennis and pickle ball. House is right between Tahoe City to the west and Incline Village to the east, tons of restaurants and activities. Highly Recommend Wolf's Lair!

Beautiful Home with great amenities

Location is great. Quiet and close to the village. The extra-tall garage was amazing to have, arriving in our SUV with cargo box on top. Absolutely LOVED having a slightly warmer car in the mornings, and not having to scrape off the windshields! And, entering the house through the garage was also super helpful, with all of our belongings. Spacious house, comfortable, big kitchen that was easy to cook in. Beds were comfortable, hot tub was so fantastic to have. Only three things we had issues with ... 1. The radiant floor heating was another amazing amenity -- but there weren't any specific instructions about it and how to control it, and we had a little malfunction the second day we were there, and the whole system shut down for two days. Management was very responsive, and the service guy came out very quickly also. But, it could have been avoided with detailed instructions. 2. There were no specific directions for the hot tub, either, so it took us a while to hit the right combination of buttons to turn it on. It was still a bit of a mystery even on the last day of our trip. But, we managed. 3. The WiFi was very spotty. We couldn't really watch TV during our visit because it was only streaming, and the connection just wasn't consistent enough. All in all, a very nice place to stay, though!

Good location, a few issues.

The house is well located with access to a wonderful pool and activity center. The daily per person cost of using the facilities ( not a small amount) was not properly disclosed. The house had a few issues that were eventually fixed. There was no water from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm for 4 days, because of water main work. Again, this was known in advance by the property managers, but not to us. We eventually received a refund to compensate us for the issues.

Had a great time and will come back. We had issues with their internet and needed to use our 5g to make streaming work (there isn't cable/other TV), but they were super responsive in trying to figure it out. The internet started working well on the last day. Really interesting house with a German theme that we loved! Will bring more beer next time :)

Wolf’s Lair Review

This little home is quite cute and has the perfect location in the Northstar neighborhood. We loved the view of the woods from the deck and how private it was. We were able to take some nice walks and just enjoy the beauty of Tahoe. We stayed for 9 nights. We would definitely stay here again! However, we wish there had been more silverware and cooking utensils in the kitchen. We also noticed with how long we stayed that we only had 2 paper towel rolls, 4 dish pods, 2 laundry detergent packs, and 2 trash bags. With that length of stay, we felt there should have been a few more necessity items provided vs us having to go purchase more at the store.
