The Blue Moose is a stunning mountain-style vacation home in the sought-after Tahoe Donner resort community of North Lake Tahoe. Our Tahoe Donner home is conveniently located on a quiet street only 1.4 miles from Tahoe Donner’s Trout Creek Recreation Center (restaurant, golf clubhouse, recreation facility, pools, spas, etc.) Below are distances to some of our many resorts and amenities:

Guests will have access to the entire home (including garage) with the exception of a few locked closets.

Inside, you’ll find a warm mountain-style design with vaulted wood-beamed ceilings, fir floors, and cedar accents. The main level features a well-equipped kitchen, spacious dining room, cozy pub-style dining nook, and a living room centered around a beautiful pass-through fireplace. The home includes four bedrooms (two of which are ensuite master suites), plus a downstairs bonus/media room, perfect for kids or movie nights. With multiple gathering spaces and private sleeping areas, the layout works beautifully for both large families and smaller groups.
In the winter, you’ll love the easy back route from Tahoe Donner to Northstar, while summer brings convenient access to Tahoe Donner’s private amenities, including the recreation center, golf course, equestrian center, beach club at Donner Lake, and endless hiking and biking trails.
Our home is steps away from Alder creek and the surrounding hiking and biking trails. With trails visible from the back yard it's an oasis for outdoor enthusiasts and dog owners alike.

Our home is located in the private, members-only Tahoe Donner resort community. With six provided guest passes, you’ll have access to a wide range of amenities. Each guest pass will allow one individual access to Tahoe Donner's private amenities with a Daily Access Fee (charged by Tahoe Donner). Please note, the daily access fee is paid by the guest to the Tahoe Donner HOA upon arrival to the facilities. Home Truths:
*In conjunction with the ongoing Defensible Space tree thinning projects throughout Tahoe Donner, the Forest Service is currently undergoing a tree removal project on the National Forest land adjacent to ours and other homes on the perimeter of Tahoe Donner. Please be aware that, at times, there may be logging noise in the area along with occasional limited access to the Tahoe Donner trails.
*We can welcome no more than 7 adults (over the age of 13).
*1 dog allowed with pet fee. Please review all pet rules prior to your stay.
*We are not responsible for uncontrollable circumstances inherent to Lake Tahoe, such as poor air quality during wildfire season and snow during the winter months. We recommend 4WD, chains, or snow tires in the winter, and if you would like to protect your trip, we recommend purchasing external trip insurance in case your travel plans change or you need to cancel. Our cancellation policy will stand.
*Winter Months: Neighborhood roads are well-maintained in winter weather. The entryway is shoveled after 6”, but you may arrive to snow (don’t worry - we provide shovels and ice melt to assist. It’s all part of the Tahoe experience!). Keep an eye on the weather and traffic conditions, especially from October to May. The fire pit may not be available in the winter months (November - May).
