Welcome to your mountain modern Donner Lake retreat! This extraordinary 4-bedroom home located on Donner Lake offers your guests premier access to Donner Lake, Truckee, and all the region has to offer—the perfect place to relax after a long day on the water or the ski hill. Relax in the spacious living room with views of Donner Lake. Recline on any one of the 3 decks while appreciating spectacular lake and mountain views. Walk out the front door to public access piers and dip your toes in the water. Prepare your signature meal in the state-of-the-art chef's kitchen.

Upper Level:
- Master Bedroom: King Sleep Number bed with individual controls, sleeps 2, television, walk-in closet with vanity, and private deck
- Master Bathroom: 5 piece en-suite bath with double sinks and bathtub overlooking Donner Lake
- Bedroom #2: Queen bed, sleeps 2, and television
- Bathroom: 3/4 Bath with shower, toilet, and sink
- Laundry - beach towels available for guest use

Main Level:
- Kitchen: Fully stocked with Wolf appliances, gas stove and oven, dishwasher, built-in espresso machine, and more
- Dining Room: Seating for 6, counter bar seating for 3
- Living Room: Seating for 5-6, gas fireplace, 55" Smart TV
- Bedroom #3: Queen bed, sleeps 2, television, and deck access
- Bathroom: 3/4 bath with shower, toilet, and sink
- Wrap-around deck with gas fire pit, traeger smoker, gas grill, and outdoor dining for 6. Plenty of small tables and chairs available to seat more.

Lower Level:
- Bunk Room: Twin bunk bed with trundle, twin pullout sofa, electric fireplace, and television
- Mudroom/Storage
- 3 hammocks on expansive front patio

Parking:
- Carport: Parking for 1 car (not a truck or large SUV)
- Driveway: Parking for up to 3 vehicles depending on snow conditions. Driveway is circular. Precautions should be taken during icy conditions such as blocking tires to prevent sliding.

A week at Donner Lake

This property was great, our family was very happy with the house. The West End Beach is only 2 min drive from the house and a fabulous place to hang out for the day on Donner Lake with bathrooms and picnic tables and a playground for the kids. There is a very small beach across the street but it is very rocky and was hard for the little kids. There is a fishing dock right across the street and it was a fun place for the kids to catch crawdads. Over all our family gives this house a 5 star rating.

Tahoe Donner paradise

The location was perfect! The gorgeous gourmet kitchen exquisitely organized and had everything!! Including 2 Crockpots--one ginormous one and crockpot liners for big meals. The beds were super comfy and the sheets and towels perfect. Tons of outdoor space and and seating the view is pure magic. The kids loved having the bunkroom down stairs, and it was perfectly quiet upstairs. The location is also perfect with plenty of parking--super important. They thought of everything including two BBQ's--one traegar and one gas grill. I was surprised at the relatively low price given the amenities and location and the holiday weekend. We can't wait to go back!

Luxury with Drawbacks

The property has much to recommend it and for the price you pay it should. Nonetheless it also had its drawbacks. Here are the issues I had with the property manager: • Called me after it was too late to cancel without penalty to tell me the owner’s insurance would not allow use of the water sports equipment listed in the property amenities. • Let me know on day one that two of the three blinds in the master bedroom could not be raised (so much for being able to see the Lake View) • Did not rectify my reported concerns with the fact there was no coffee maker in the kitchen and no remote control for the television in the master bedroom. • Make you to pay extra if you want to check in before 5 pm on Sunday or you need to check out after 10 am the following Sunday. The property itself has some flaws. Yes, it is on the lake. However, the following is also true: • Donner Pass Road is between the house and the lake. The road has a lot of traffic which detracts from one’s enjoyment of sitting on the deck. • What you don’t see clearly in the pictures of the house is the driveway. It is steep and treacherous and can only be entered one way without bottoming out your car. • The built-in-expresso machine needed descaling and therefore could not be used. • The bunk room had no mirror, no place to hang clothing and no chest of drawers in which to put clothing. • Beach access and parking are very limited.

Nice house but couple key challenges

The house is generally quite nice and updated - Mgmt company very easy to work with. Kitchen well stocked for meal prep and the views of the lake are wonderful. But a couple reasons we wouldn’t go back: - house is across the street from the water - short distance w SUPs very easy but sitting on the deck, even in evening, it is LOUD. Was surprised at number of cars and semis creating a lot of constant traffic noise. More than anything, this bummed us out. - Layout of house is weird. Bottom floor bunk room has no bathroom, kids had to come up the 3rd floor etc. - Early check in at noon is an extra fee (which they clearly publish). The locks are electronic and clearly the cleaning crew had not been there that day. An annoying surcharge but becoming more common. - The dock/pier directly across the street is public but that wasn’t a problem. However - given that it’s enclosed metail and floating pier (vs fixed), makes it virtually useless in terms of boating - if you rent a boat from the marina they actually prohibit docking, something to consider w/ multiple familes and kids.
