The Museum gathers, preserves, exhibits, explores and exploits educational and scientific material and intangible cultural content of the village of Dara and the surrounding geographical area. The MLDPD according to the museographic design it exhibits objects from the permanent collection of "Ioannis Bakopoulos".

In the upper city are preserved the "Bouleuterion", the "Great Market", the temple of Mesopolitica Artemis and the ancient theater that was built in the 3rd century BC. and has a stunning position and acoustics.

At the top of the mountain is the ancient Acropolis of Orchomenos named by Homer "Polymilos" because it was rich in animal husbandry. The ancient Acropolis was the center of Arcadia and the seat of its kings until the 5th century BC. In Mytikas, on the east of Orchomenos, there are ruins of Mycenaean settlement.

Mainalon Ski Center: In the mountainous area of ​​the mined roof of Mainalon, at the summit of Ostrakina and at an altitude of 1770 meters, a modern ski center operates. Since the winter of 2004 the ski center has been transferred to the private company OSTRAKINA AETE.

The Mainal Ski Center features 8 excellent ski slopes, a special ATV motorbike park, a central chalet for food or snack, a snowbath, a shelter and four ski lifts. Levidi (from a mountain-facing square) - Mainalon Forest - Capelis Plateau - Plateau of Rapakoti - Agios Petros - Vytina - Vlaherna - Levidi: An enchanting route through the fir-tree forest of Mainalo. The distance is 75 km and the duration depends on the conditions of the pavement.

Lousios is a river of the Peloponnese, a tributary of the Alpheus, about 23 km long. According to the tradition, he took this name because the nymphs Neda, Agnos and Thissoa received the newborn Jupiter in his waters. Its springs are located in the church of Agia Paraskevi, near the village of Kaloneri and to the south in the area of ​​ancient Thission.

Lousios, after passing west of Dimitsana, where there is the Outdoor Waterway Museum, crosses an impressive 15 km gorge and about 2 km wide before arriving at Alfios near Karytaina.
