Our cozy retreat is equipped with a fully stocked kitchen featuring a full-size fridge and stove, perfect for crafting delightful cozy meals. Situated on Catchacoma Lake, Rewind the Wild offers many activities for guests of all ages. During the fall, enjoy direct access to the water for a beautiful canoeing adventure. The surrounding area is a haven for hiking, snowshoeing, bird watching, and exploring nature trails. Want to relax? Whether you're looking for relaxation or adventure, Rewind the Wild is your ideal getaway.

The cottage comfortably sleeps 9 guests in four spacious bedrooms with 1.5 bathrooms. Every design detail down curated vintage decor has been carefully curated for a unique stay. The property boasts freshly renovated spaces, with a mix of antique furniture and modern furnishings. Rewind the Wild combines the feeling of nostalgia with lakehouse design to create a homey yet luxurious feeling our guests crave while in cottaging. We have a Window Air Conditioning Unit in all three main floor bedrooms. The basement remains quite cool and does not require one!

Discover the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation at Rewind the Wild! There's always something to do at Rewind the Wild! In the summer, take advantage of the huge 32x30 foot dock for canoeing or swimming in the lake. Gather around the large bonfire pit for evening stories, conveniently located in a screened room with a bar.

The property offers clear weed free swimming and later in the summer months the option to wade into the water from the lower deck is available rather then jumping from dock.

Inside, the basement living space is equipped with a smart TV, vintage video games consoles including NES, DVD player, and VHS player, alongside a variety of board games to keep everyone entertained. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped with all the amenities you need for a hassle-free stay.

Start your mornings in the screened gazebo or the upper deck with a coffee and a book, taking in the beautiful lake views, or enjoy the sunsets in the evening. Stroll around the property or explore local hiking and biking trails just a short distance away. Whether you're seeking relaxation or adventure, Rewind the Wild on Catchacoma Lake offers the perfect lakeside retreat.

The cottage is located on a gravel road right off County Road 507. Although the road is plowed during winter months, winter conditions can be variable and the access road into cabin will require all-wheel drive and snow tires in poor conditions.

Groceries, LCBO, and restaurants are a convenient 15-minute drive away in the town of Buckhorn. Additional shopping and dining options are available in the neighbouring towns of Bobcaygeon and Lakefield, both 25 mins from the property.

Please note, although there is cell service and Wifi at the property, we cannot guarantee excellent connection at all times due to the remote location.

Rewind the Wild offers 4 cozy bedrooms, each with its unique charm and comfort. The fully enclosed bedrooms are situated to provide both privacy and scenic views.

BEDROOMS:

Master Bedroom: The master bedroom features a King size bed with a view overlooking the water. It includes a TV with a Firestick, giving you access to all your favourite apps.

Green Room (Second Bedroom): The second bedroom has a Queen size bed and overlooks the forest. It also comes with a TV and Firestick for your entertainment.

Nautical Room (Third Bedroom): The third bedroom has a Double bed with a serene view of the forest, offering a peaceful retreat.

Basement Bedroom (Fourth Bedroom): The fourth bedroom is in the basement and includes a bunk bed with a Double bed on the bottom and a Single bed on top, perfect for accommodating additional guests or children.

Each room at Rewind the Wild is designed to provide a comfortable and relaxing stay, whether you're enjoying the waterfront views or the tranquility of the surrounding forest.

BATHROOMS:
The house has 1.5l bathrooms, each with plenty of storage and impressive water pressure.
The main bathroom is located off the front hallway and is a 3 piece bathroom with shower tub.
The second half bathroom is located in the basement for additional convenience.
These two bathrooms have ample space for all guests so you won’t have to spend time waiting!

ARE YOU A GROUP UNDER 30 years of age?
Any groups under 30 need to pay a $1500 security deposit. As much as we would like to be flexible with everyone, we've had a few groups passed through that have ruined it for everyone. The security deposit is done through AirBnB and refunded once our cleaning team has gone and assessed the state of the property.


We highly recommend bringing a car to this property as there is no public transportation.

Pre-Arrival Information:
After your booking is confirmed, we’ll send a short pre-arrival form for the primary guest to complete. This helps us prepare for your stay and includes basic details such as guest contact information, names of additional guests, confirmation of house rules, and your expected arrival time. The form only takes a few minutes to complete and helps ensure a smooth check-in experience. Once submitted, we’ll be able to provide the full check-in and access instructions for the property.
