Tucked away within the imposing grounds of an iconic villa along the picturesque promenade of Lenno, this updated former gardener\'s lodge provides a serene hideaway for 3; with 2 bedrooms provided within the split-level layout.

The modernized WiFi-enabled apartment features a chic and serene interior and offers an open plan lake view living room with air-con, a sofa suite, SAT TV, a high-quality and fully equipped kitchen diner and direct garden access. Situated along the picturesque lake promenade of ‘Via Alla Torre’, the villa is a stone’s throw away from Lenno’s fashionable Lido, the woodland pathway and taxi boat service to Villa Balbianello (all 1 minutes’ walk away). The supermarkets, bus links and amenities along the main ‘Via Statale’ are reachable on foot within 4 minutes. The authentic restaurants, central lake ferry links and breathtaking Villa Carlotta gardens of Tremezzina and Cadenabbia are 8-10 minutes’ drive away, whilst pretty Menaggio is 17 minutes’ drive away and the southern lake capital of Como (with its direct Milan train links) is 46 minutes’ drive away.

Very happy with our stay. There was a broken loo seat but apart from that the property suited us very well. One thing though. There was no information pack at the property, advising things like how/where to access boiler (we had cold water only on our first night). Also the WiFi password information wasn't given and we had to contact the agents. A little note about this kind of thing would have been useful. On the whole though, location was excetandbthe accommodation had everything needed for a lovely stay.

Logement bien situé, proche de toutes les commodités : restaurants, supermarché et embarcadère. Avantage d'une place de parking privée. Procédure d'arrivée avec une boîte à clé facile et surtout flexible. Appartement en lui-même : trés bien équipé, spacieux et confortable.

Poor experience

Our experience at this property was poor - the listing stated central heating was available, but the central radiator heating was not functioning. We were told to use the AC unit on heating as a backup but that was also not functioning. The property manager who came to try to assist confirmed that a fix was not available during our stay, and committed to providing a space heater but despite my follow-up with them for a status there was no space heater provided, so we endured nights of 15 and 13 degrees without heating. There were also other maintenance issues at the property - several sets of lighting were not working both in stair wells and on the main level. Very disappointed with the overall maintenance level of the property - it is a location that we would have enjoyed if these issues had not occurred.

Fantastic Property

Really wonderful. The apartment is in a traditional Villa style building to the side of the main Villa de Herra property with full access to the beautiful grounds. The inside of the apartment is fully modern in every sense—new doors, windows, floors (no old creaking stuff!), new kitchen, bathrooms. Comfortable beds. (The one bedroom does not have a full double bed, however, it is just an extra large single bed). Very clean. WI-FI and air conditioning worked very well. We truly enjoyed the grounds, sitting in the outdoor chairs and table provided, overlooking the beautiful lake Como scenery. I felt very special having my own key to unlock the gate at the lakeside to go in and out on that side of the property, as well as on the back road side. Close to good restaurants, the walkway along the lake, Villa Balbianello, and the Lenno ferry stop. (Why do the listings for the property never show the actual building, but rather only show the main Villa which is a bit misleading. The apartment building is attractive, nothing to be ashamed of).

Nice place in nice location

Overall nice stay. Needed clearer check in instructions in finding the right apt. Also could benefit with a detailed instruction/info packet on arrival with internet info, area restaurants recommended, nearby stores to get groceries, etc.
