"Spoke with the hotel ahead of time about early check in and late check out, also to make sure that there were flowers with a card arranged in the room beforehand since it was Valentine’s Day weekend. When we checked in, they were behind, didn’t have the flowers and wouldn’t allow us to check in for 2 hours. "The Charles was fantastic!!! Arrival was welcoming, as though we were old time friends. The main part of the house was clearly recently remodeled and painted, all while keeping with the old time charm of the house. Our room was large, and we never felt cramped. Breakfast was so good that we kept bringing it up during the day. And the scones are not to be missed!!! It is now our go to place in Napa. Could not recommend higher."

"This is a family owned small boutique hotel that offers luxury style amenities. My husband and I were celebrating our 10 year anniversary and couldn’t been more happy with this hotel. I believe we stayed in loft 11 and just know that it’s worth every penny you paid. The sheets, the bed, the decor, the bathroom was all top tier. Staff were pleasant and very accommodating on arrival. This is also a self check-in and check-out which is convenient. We truly loved our stay. Would definitely recommend...

"The hotel is beautiful and so convenient to downtown Napa. The spa was amazing. Did not love the breakfast/ way too much butter on the food. Maybe some people would love that/ but it was not for me. The rooftop bar was fun and the food and drinks were great. The bathtub in the room was a huge bonus. Would absolutely stay again. Also- the outdoor fireplace in the room ( plus the cozy blanket) were perfect. Overall a 9/10!"
