  • Stay in a piece of living history. Nestled within Building 50 of the Grand Traverse Commons (circa 1885), this condo offers a rare blend of historic drama and modern comfort. With soaring 15-foot ceilings, massive 8-foot windows, and original exposed brick, the space feels open, airy, and undeniably unique.

    You are just an elevator ride away from Traverse City`s best dining and coffee, and miles of hiking trails start right at your doorstep.

    THE SPACE:
    This newly redesigned and fully furnished 1-bedroom, 1-bath condo features 15 ft ceilings and 8 ft windows. The kitchenette is equipped & stocked with all the essentials for brewing your morning coffee & cooking light meals in.

    During your stay, explore the charming village, located a mere mile from the bay and downtown. The garden level boasts a variety of on-site amenities, including restaurants and shops that cater to both fine dining and quick bites.

    Within the Grand Traverse Commons building or its scenic grounds, you`ll find:

    Guests have full access to the condo. Convenience and security are paramount, with smart locks granting easy access to the condo.

    There are two shared balconies on the 3rd floor.

    We remain readily available to you throughout your stay via VRBO messaging, with an average response rate of under 1 hour. Our phone number is also provided to you during check-in for any urgent requests or emergencies.

    THE NEIGHBORHOOD:
    This historical location has been reimagined into a vibrant community of locally-owned shops, eateries, and condos. The condos are all on private access floors above the shops. Nearby, you will also find multiple hiking and biking trails that can lead you to natural springs and rivers, the renowned `hippie tree` of Traverse City, and breathtaking scenic views.

    TRANSIT:
    Bike rentals are available approximately 3 miles away at McClains Cycle Shop or Brick Wheels.
    Local Taxi services include Cool Cab, Cherry Capital Cab, About Time Transportation, and more!
    Bata busses have multiple stops throughout Traverse as well as surrounding counties with their Village Loop and Bayline & City Loop.

    NOTES:
    **NO pets allowed unless proper service pet documentation has been provided and approved BEFORE check-in. If you have an unauthorized pet, you will be asked to leave immediately and will not be refunded for your stay. This is an association rule.**

Home Away From Home

This is an awesome condo in an awesome building. The Grand Traverse Commons is an usual setting with much to offer with restaurants, shops, and hiking trails. We have stayed here four times and consider it our home away from home.

This is such a cute condo located in Traverse City. Close to beaches and Front St. shops and restaurants. Very quiet. Perfect place to wind down after a day of exploring.
