Situated in a serene countryside close to picturesque mountains and hiking trails, this custom-built home was constructed in 2022. Boasting a beautiful pool and hot tub, the property is also lavishly decorated for every holiday. It features two master bedrooms, 3 additional bedrooms, a toy room for children, fire pits, gas grills, and a wood burning fire pit. With a sprawling 19-acre lot that includes a creek and ample outdoor seating, this house has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Positioned in a secure and tranquil location, it's just a 7-minute drive to the stunning waterfalls of Stone Mountain State Park, and a 20-minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The nearest golf course is an 8-minute drive away. With over eight wine vineyards in close proximity and small town shopping within a 30-minute drive, there's no shortage of activities. Please note that the pool is closed from October 1st to May 1st, while the hot tub is available throughout the year.

We enjoyed our stay, the home was beautiful and loved the amenities available. Host was communicative and home had plenty of supplies for our stay. Location was decent for vineyard hopping- 12-30 min drive for most. We had a wonderful time and will be back!

Our experience was very disappointing for several reasons: The bedrooms did not have available closets; all of them were locked. The pool was closed, which significantly affected our stay. We were not informed that the wind in the area was extremely strong. When we turned on the outdoor fire pit, within 10 minutes the chairs caught fire. We moved away for safety, and once the wind calmed down, we were able to put the fire out. Because of this situation, we were forced to purchase new chairs. The mattresses were extremely soft foam, causing people to sink in and making it very uncomfortable to sleep. On the second floor, we had to lower a curtain and remove cotton and balloons in order to make the space usable, as there was no proper curtain installed. The second-floor bathroom had a water leak, leaving the floor constantly wet. From the time we made the reservation through Expedia, we clearly stated that we would be traveling with 7 adults, 3 children, and 2 dogs, so there were no unexpected changes in the number of guests. Unfortunately, the property did not meet basic standards of comfort, safety, or transparency.

We had everything we needed. Lots of bathroom and pool towels and lots of basic supplies were provided. The pool and hot tub received lots of use.

A Slice of Paradise

We were very happy with the property. The landscape is heavenly with the surrounding mountains and rolling grass hills. Windows allow great views but the back deck, pool deck and hit tub area put you right out in the beautiful space. We saw shooting stars. Little slice of heaven

I will start by saying I travel all the time and only book homes through VRBO. This is hands down the best place I’ve ever stayed in. Host was so gracious and accommodating. Great place for a family getaway. Plenty of room for all 10 of us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Wonderful Place for Our Gathering

We rented this house for bridesmaids who were in a wedding in Elkin. The house had plenty of rooms and a wonderful supply of kitchen utensils. The pool was sparkling clean and the outdoor space was such a relaxing atmosphere. Book this property and you won't be disappointed.

Great vacation

Our family ranges in age from 3-81. All the younger ones kept saying "what are we going to do?" There was everything to do. Pool, hot tub, golf, trampoline, swing, fire pit for roasting marshmallows, corn hole and relaxing, relaxing, and relaxing. Our granddaughter 18 said at the end of the week , "I really needed this" and I think we all felt the same. The owners were wonderful hosts. We highly recommend this property.

Great place for a family vacation

We booked this property for a family vacation with my parents and brothers. This was a very well kept and clean place to stay and had ample room for a larger crowd. It was well stocked with everything you could need from dishes to firewood. The check in and out process was easy, and the owners was attentive when needed. Thank you for a great stay.

Annual Sorority Retreat

The house was big and beautiful and had plenty of room for everybody. The patio with the pool and hot tub were our favorite spots and we spent most of the time out there. The fireplace was a also a nice amenity to enjoy in the evening. The owner was very accommodating from start to finish. Overall, a fantastic stay and look forward to staying again!

Beautiful Country Home

We stayed here for Merlefest - 30 min drive - but nothing is close. Well appointed home - if it were warmer swimming in the pool would be great. Has hot tub - private area - only one neighbor and they don't really face this house. Cows in the pasture came up for breakfast each morning. Was a great home for a group of adults - but woudl also be great with family/kids - kitchen/dining area is really large.

This was our second time staying here. We love it the first time and even more the second. We had a small family get together. The house was perfect for that. The host is very gracious. The kids and adults played in the pool. Plenty of room for everyone.

Wonderful get-away

This was our home away from home for a week. We enjoyed the sunsets, fireflys, cooler evenings, and enjoying the stars away from city lights. Hosts have everything you need in case it's forgotten, and the kitchen is well stocked with essentials. Our dog loved to run around and saw cows for the first time. Our 6 yr old girl loved the toys available and books. The house was clean and the owners were so gracious with their hospitality. Tabitha was always very quick to respond should you have any questions or issues. To do: We wanted to eat at "Chez Josephine" at Roaring River Vineyards, but they were booked, so make reservations in advance. Southern on Main is a great restaurant in Elkin. Muddy Creek in Sparta has good food and music. DB Suttons is a cute clothing/jewelry women's boutique in Roaring Gap. Stone Mountain of course for hiking (or driving to see it).Your kids might enjoy ice cream or candy treat at the Stone Mountain General Store-- also has paintings from local artist. Highly recommend Key City Antique Mall in N Wilkesboro. Thank you Poes for opening your home to us! We hope to come again!

More than I could Imagine

One of my best family vacations yet! Tabitha is a wonderful host. The pictures don’t give it justice. Everything a large family with toddlers could need is provided. I highly recommend this beautiful, clean, family friendly home to everyone!
