"A very cosy house right in the heart of Fort Augustus. The living room was lovely with the fireplace, though we forgot to ask for more firewood and it got a bit cold at night. It was very peaceful—I think we were the only guests! The room is small if you're travelling with luggage, but very comfortable and warm. The bathroom was perfectly adequate. Breakfast was basic but decent."

"Great stay - entry was easy and without any fuss. The room is large and bed was great, ample power points with USB A and C. We stayed overnight on the way to Loch Ness Marathon - will be back during the daytime to visit the rewinding centre properly, as it looked really interesting. Good parking at the main car park, with EV chargers - a great perk in the not-so-well-served highlands "

"Overall this was an excellent stay for us. On the first morning our shower flooded the bathroom floor because the drain was clogged, but they fixed it while we were out for the day. Other than that hiccup, it was a fantastic stay. We did the boat tour on the first day and it was fun, although cold out on the loch. Breakfast was very, very good. "What did we like? Here goes..warm welcome, clear information on breakfast and room details. Although this looks like an old hotel it I assume it has had a lot of money spent on upgrades to retain "Ye Olde" feel to it. Room was not massive but very well decorated with lovely solid sleigh bed. En-suite was very up to date with nice shower and endless hot water. Tiled floor but underfloor heating so not getting back in to bed with ice cold feet after a 3am loo trip. Sockets at bed side tables...
