A quiet and beautiful small hotel with stunning outlook onto Lake Yoda which has resident pelicans and cormorants. There are many individual features and breakfast was served to order, including toast. All very lovely.

Whilst there were some issues with our booking in relation to the details within the advert for the hotel which we have now resolved with Expedia, we still want to leave a positive review. The staff were absolutely amazing and were so accommodating, and in particular Arutha (food and beverage) delivered the best customer service we have experienced in a long time. We really felt like he could not do enough and was a pleasure to be around each day. It was my friends 50th and they pulled out all the stops for the evening even though it was New Year’s Eve. They made an amazing cake and decorated the room which was really lovely and I’m grateful to the manager for his/his teams efforts. The beachside bar and pool is in a beautiful location and the beach is amazing. It’s about 15 minutes in the shuttle to get there but is worth a visit. The chef made some really tasty food and as a vegan I appreciated the extra effort he went to. Whilst the fixed menu wasn’t really what we had hoped for, I have to say most of the dishes were lovely. The chef took the time to come and speak to us which again was appreciated. Whilst the Ayurveda treatments were not what we wanted, the manager assisted us as much as he could, and for that we were grateful and believe the hotel deserves a positive review for the time, effort and service the staff gave us.

Un hotel excelente, ideal para visitar el parque nacional de yala. Se puede tomar una cena fantástica en una pradera a laborilla del lago y a la liz de las velas. Estupendo

We received an immediate upgrade on arrival and found the room amazing with beautiful views of the lake. We had excellent room service as well as a superb breakfast buffet. The indoor/outdoor pool was extremely convenient and the staff extremely helpful and welcoming,

Health conscious food was great. Pool area was nice. We were disappointed that all Ayurveda treatment was fully booked for the days we stayed. We recommend to check if the treatment is available or not before you book a room.

Ich hatte das Vergnügen 8 bezaubernde Nächte in diesem wundervollen Hotel zu verbringen. Das Zimmer ist stilvoll eingerichtet und hat einen unglaublichen Blick auf den See. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und spricht einwandfrei Englisch. Beim Frühstück kann man Wasservögel und andere Tiere beobachten. Das Abendessen idt auch sehr lecker, die Süßwasserschrimps sind nur zu empfehlen. Fitnessraum und Pool sind in einem sehr gutem Zustand. Eine vom Hotel organisierte Safari habe ich ebenfalls in Anspruch genommen und hatte das Glück Leoparden, Elefanten und weitere Tiere im Yala Nationalpark zu sehen während andere kaum welche gesehen haben. In der Region mit Abstand das beste Hotel.

Quiet, laid back hotel in a great location.

The No Name Rest is in a great location only about 200 metres from the Unawatuna Beach. Also it is off the very busy main road so quieter than a lot of places in the town! John the Australian owner/manager is very friendly and helpful. The service and breakfast were a bit laid back but OK.

Chill Out At Thaulle Resort

Marvellous stay at Thaulle Resort, which is convenient for both Yala and Bundala National Parks = both of which are amazing. The Reception team were very friendly and check-in straightforward. Our room was not large but comfortable, with a great view over the lake. Decor was tastefully style, verging on the cool. Thaulle Resort also hosts a spa which many of the guests used and there is a very chilled atmosphere. The food was great and fair value - excellent curries and Western options. Dinner is outside in a romantic setting. Wine is expensive compared to all hotels that we stayed in = some 5 star. A fair sized pool but in a lovely setting and never.crowded. It was never a problem to get a sun bed in the well planted gardens. In summary a relaxed, tasteful, boutique hotel with great staff and a very pleasant atmosphere. I do not hesitate to recommend..

Room service closes at early time 11:pm compared to other hotels which is 24/7. Room was clean, however, many insects where there so they should put something to keep away those insects. We where couple and they offer us two single beds sticked to each other which was horrible. Breakfast fast was very very limited. Our building is up to 4 floors and there were no elevator. Welcoming was good stuff were friendly. Nice lake view. Dinner food was average.

Hotellet var som vi föreställt oss, fräscha rum med fin utsikt. Tyvärr erbjöd inte restaurangen så mycket, priserna var väldigt höga jämfört med generella restauranger på Sri Lanka och portionerna var mycket små. Vi var mycket besvikna på restaurangen och det är 4 km in till närmaste stad, där det inte heller finns några ”turistanpassade” restaurangen. Frukosten vad dock ok men med långsam service. Vi bodde på hotellet under två nätter, kan inte rekommendera att stanna fler nätter då det förutom Yala nationalpark inte finns mycket att göra.

Just lovely...can't recommend enough. We had a beautiful room and bathroom with a view of the lake. Dinner served outside under the mango trees was a delight - gorgeous!

It was my wife's birthday and when I mentioned it to the hotel staff, they went out of their way to help us celebrate... From chilling a special bottle of champagne we brought with us... to organizing an amazing birthday dinner and celebration for us. They really made it a special time for us! Facilities and food are fantastic too!

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The King Suite was beautiful with a top view of the lake. A complimentary foot massage was divine. The food here was excellent: all a la carte, spicy, and delicious and dinner in the garden was simply delightful, especially as there were no mosquitoes. Thanks to the staff for mosquito sticks at every table.
