Beautiful historic cottage in the heart of Norfolk

  • Eight Ball house is set in the peaceful countryside of Norfolk. The property is one of a group of four all on ground level. The site was used by the USA Air Force during WW11 and they left behind some amazing wall art which has been incorporated into the properties. Eight Ball house has been beautifully furnished to include a mix of modern and antique furniture. This includes beautiful king size French beds.The decor is tasteful and of high quality The master bedroom has an en-suite shower and there are two other bathrooms one with shower and one with a bath. A travel cot and high chair are available on request. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious allowing everyone to enjoy a meal whilst overlooking lovely gardens through the bi folding doors,the garden overlooks open fields and enjoys beautiful views of stunning sunsets. The lounge has lots of comfy seating and has a great log burner effect fire which throws out lots of heat if required. there is also a dishwaser, washing machine and tumble drier at the property. Large garden table with comfortable seating to enjoy evening BBQ' s this is one of four cottages on this site Quarters cottages is situated in the heart of norfolk and is within easy reach of the wonderful norfolk coastline,Wells next the sea is a lovely old fashioned seaside and sitting on the harbor wall with a bag of fish and chips is not to be missed. Thetford forest is 20 minutes drive away with Thetford High Lodge offering a great day out with Go Ape a treat for the brave with a head for heights. The famous dinosaur park is 40 minutes drive and offers a great day out for all the family with the dinosaur trail and deer park. The city of Norwich is close by and this year feature the Go Go Hares trail. There are fifty sculptures situated around the city this is starting on June 24 and will continue throughout the summer.

Lovely Property in a Lovely Location

Excellent communication. Ample parking. The property was immaculate, with a nice mix of modern and antique furniture. The kitchen had everything you could need, and more. Comfortable beds. Lovely grounds with great views, and we were treated to a couple of amazing sunsets. Would definitely stay here again.

Just lovely!

Renovated with care and attention, Eight Balls is a lovely, spacious and well equipped "home" combining elegance and comfort. The owners were friendly, welcoming but not intrusive. A great place to relax but with many options of things to do and places to go within easy access.

Beautiful cottage with everything you could need

Beautiful cottage, elegantly furnished and well equipped with much more than the standard self-catering fare: plenty of loo rolls, kitchen towels, dishwasher tablets, cleaning products, oil, even herbs and spices. Lovely outdoor space too, and a friendly welcome from the owners.

Brilliant

Our second visit and it was terrific. The accommodation suits us perfectly, with plenty of room and absolutely everything we needed. The beautiful weather meant we could eat outside every evening, and the views over the fields and of the sunsets were wonderful. We look forward to returning.

A wonderful Christmas Getaway

Our stay at Quarter Cottages was everything we needed to be able to enjoy Christmas. The property is spotlessly clean with antique furniture. The beds are huge and comfortable, the wardrobes and mirrors large and stately. Everything we wanted was provided by our charming host Lesley. One wardrobe is filled with indoor games, great for a family gathering. There are book shelves full of information relating to the property's historical beginning during WW2 and the local history generally. Highly recommended!

Amazing!!!

The property was in a beautiful very quiet countryside setting. The house was immaculate throughout and tastefully decorated to a very high standard ,with comfortable beds and furniture. The hosts were on hand and very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Lovely break

The property was amazing. Plenty of room for three adults and three children. It was clean, warm and welcoming with every convenience we could hope for. The bottle of prosecco was an added (and very welcome) bonus.

Weekend away with friends

We really enjoyed our weekend at 8ball cottage. The location is very remote but that's what we loved. The pictures don't do this property justice, it's very spacious. 6 adults and a small baby and we had plenty of room. Lovely added touches with tea bags and coffee machine etc made life easy for the weekend. Thank you for your hospitality, we had a great time.

A Really great property, Very Clean - well looked after by experienced hosts! would recommend it to anyone! Well appointed Kitchen- Diner, BBQ area, Spacious Lounge, Great Bathrooms and very comfortable Beds. Very Quiet Well off the beaten track, but great for exploring Norfolk Only negative - WIFI was very slow, sometimes difficult to access

Well thought out. Beautifully decorated and furnished to a very high standard.

Despite the relative remoteness of the property to places of interest in this part of Norfolk, the property itself suited our needs exceedingly well. We have rarely stayed in a self-catering property that has been so well appointed; well-thought out; with excellent, clean, shiny bathrooms; superb beds and bed linen topped off with friendly, helpful and welcoming owners. As a family of 4 adults and one child, with one of the adults having significant mobility issues 8 Ball House catered for our various needs very well indeed.
