A Wagon Cabin on the Mulberry River, Oark Arkansas

The Sparrow is located on the Mulberry River in Oark, Arkansas. Hit the trail and go back in time in our "Glamping Style" Covered Wagon that sleeps two comfortably. While you provide blankets, sheets and towels, we provide Wifi, a Queen size bed, A/C, Heat, TV, full bathroom with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, toilet paper, coffee maker, coffee, small refrigerator, and microwave. It is one mile from the Historic Oark General Store, two miles from the Catalpa Café, and close to many waterfalls. You are able to ride for miles on trails and backroads in your jeep or ATV/UTV to explore the Ozark National Forest. The river is perfect for swimming, fishing, canoeing, or listening to as you roast s'mores around the fire pit. You are sure to enjoy this unique piece of paradise!

The covered wagon was great! Pet friendly, made for a nice place to enjoy the surrounding area! Bed was a touch on the hard side but we adjusted and made it work! The property and surrounding River is gorgeous! We would stay again!

This is by far one of the nicest properties we have stayed at! Very very clean and I have high standards! Love how you can access the water! The owner was easy to communicate with and even allowed some special requests. I love supporting these small businesses especially when you can tell they are making an obvious effort for their guests!

My husband and I needed a relaxing weekend away, this was the best way we could have spent it!! The wagon was perfect in size, the bathroom was so cutely decorated, the sink was amazing, after our sit in the creek just down the path, the shower and tub were the perfect way to end our day. The frig and microwave were just the perfect size for us and worked out great. The welcome letter on the shelves with books and games was nice to have for reference of things to and things to see in the area. Although we stuck pretty close to the wagon it was nice to know what our options were. The owner was fantastic on communicating the directions, code for the door and check in times. We would definitely stay again and also looked at the other cabins for options to bring kids and grands down next time. Thank you for the thought and planning you did on this weekend getaway spot, we will absolutely stay again.
The perfect view of the sunset from our little spot for the weekend. The owners did a great job with placement of the wagon when they built it.
The fire ring was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sunset.

Nice small place

Great area with a nice ambiance. Nice swimming hole on the property that was an added surprise. I wasnt used to a place being this small but it worked great.

Nature Respite

The property was absolutely amazing. I throughly enjoyed every moment of my stay, until the neighbors with side by sides and 4 wheelers checked in. I understand there are trails to ride and such, but the loops around the yard and through the pasture were quite disruptive. Other than, it was great!

This is the cutest little wagon! Beautiful location and far enough from civilization but close enough to the sweet little Oark cafe. However, the WiFi signal was terrible, the water in the shower was *cold*, and having to bring my own sheets and towels was a big pain. While my daughter and I enjoyed our stay, going camping would’ve been just as fun, and a great deal cheaper.

This little wagon was perfect for our weekend away in Oark. Kris even gave us SPOT on directions for some trails to ride. It had everything we needed and is the cutest!! We didn’t spend a ton of time inside but the tv/internet worked great.

Weekend Getaway

My wife and I had a great weekend away. We took the jeep out on the trails for the day and headed back to our awesome little stay at the covered wagon. We recommend bringing a comforter or sleeping bag. It’s easier to cool the place than warm it. It was clean and cozy! It was so nice to take a hot shower after a day full of chasing waterfalls. It’s not far from Bryd’s Adventure area where we enjoyed a delicious steak dinner and the Oark Cafe where we had a great breakfast before heading back to reality.
