"Well located hotel within five minutes walk of the ferry port. An old fashioned style B and B with seemingly new owners (Opul Group). Rooms are large but maybe a little in need of a refresh. Everything clean. Breakfast included which was surprisingly excellent. Buffet style but even catered for us as vegans which was amazingly welcome. Well located for the town centre, next door to wetherspoons which can be loud on a weekend, but no huge problem."

"Nice location, short walk to the seafront . the road outside the apartment has parking restrictions from 8am-6pm. but this did not cause us any problems. Tesco is nearby for all the essentials and most bars and resturants about 10 min away."

Peeling wallpaper and piles of bedding left in narrow hallways from one day to the next. "The breakfasts were amazing, a lot of choice, not just the usual standard british breakfast. The staff were very good. The owners was very helpful when we had a medical emergency. The hotel is well located with a short walk to Douglas beach and the shops within easy reach. The only drawback for us was the stairs. There were a lot of them up to our room and no lift, but apart from that we had a lovely stay."

"Lovely hotel on the sea front. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Shops, restaurants, steam railway all within walking distance. The breakfast was excellent. The complimentary soft drinks and snacks were a nice touch. Room was adequate for a 1 night stay, lovely bathroom & comfortable bed. Would return again and recommend to others"

"This place is hidden gem. Loved it so much we stayed another night. Close enough to the electric railway to give you easy access to the island.. There is NOT a lot going on in Laxey, but that exactly what we were looking for. if you just want to relax and get away. The shore hotel is a great spot"

"The hotel is very dated, not very clean and not maintained very well. Stayed there because it was a Best Western, but it wasn't of the same quality of a Best Western Hotel. The elevators were reliable, front desk not very friendly. Glad I was able to store my luggage prior to checking in to another hotel nearby for the TT races."

"The Regency Hotel is a gem. It's a traditional, clean, well maintained hotel with friendly helpful staff and excellent facilities. We completely enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back again.
