They are a 1900 style bed and breakfast and the decor is very much to that era. My wife has a disability and stairs are a challenge. "This is the most bare-bones hotel I’ve ever been in. No hairdryer, no iron, one bar of soap to share between the shower and sink, no Kleenex, no extra toilet paper, etc. You can get things at the front desk, if they are available. We were there for a graduation and a wedding and there were no more irons available, so wrinkled clothes were the fashion of the day. No breakfast, and the coffee machine was only available until 11 AM. We never received housekeeping once during our stay from Wednesday...

No mattress protector on the mattress, not even a fitted sheet, just a flat sheet, boogers all over the walls, frayed carpet with nails exposed where the carpet meets the hard floor. Holes in curtains, didn’t close all the way, only way to close th curtains was to use a hook that looked to be a broken part of the curtains, lacked sufficient hot water, poor lighting, broken furniture. It feel like we were in an apartment...

"This is the place to stay near BYU in Provo. It is clean, modern and efficient. Breakfast is fantastic, and it's within easy drive or long walk to campus. Highly recommend!"

"Staying at Hines Mansion is an experience that is very different than a hotel. We have been here four times now and have LOVED the experience for different reasons each time. The historic nature and feel of the building is a huge plus for us, in addition to the nostalgia of staying there for our honeymoon 22 yrs ago. "

"When we checked in our AC was broken and making noises so loud we had to change rooms. When we did the new room we had was with a door that had to be shoved open and the shower didn’t work properly for temperature. Staff was nice but during breakfast weren’t sure about allergy options and didn’t have anyone who spoke English who was able to help which made it difficult to take advantage of that opportunity."
