    Inside, the open-plan living area is warm and inviting, with a pot-belly stove and heat pump to keep you comfortable through Taupō’s cooler months. Natural light fills the space, while the layout makes it easy to spend quality time together.

    The home is well equipped with all the essentials, including Wi-Fi, a TV with Chromecast to access your Netflix and Lightbox accounts, and plenty of cosy seating. It’s designed for comfort, whether you’re enjoying a quiet night in or planning the next day’s adventure.

    Sleeping arrangements include a lovely queen master bedroom complete with a travel cot, plus a twin singles room ideal for children or friends. This is the perfect central location for all your sporting & entertainment requirements

    Treetop Hideaway is just a two-minute drive or a 15-minute walk to the heart of Taupō, where you’ll find shops, cafés, and restaurants. Walking and biking tracks nearby lead to Spa Park and the Waikato River, while geothermal attractions, hot springs, and the lake’s many activities are all within easy reach.
    This property has a Chromecast available for you to access your personal Netflix.

Autum Break

We had a great time in Taupo and found the property well located to get around Taupo's attractions. The property was clean, tidy and welcoming. A great place to relax. We enjoyed our stay.

Awesome spot

Had a couple of nights here and really enjoyed the relaxing, rustic atmosphere. Fireplace was a lovely addition and kept the place feeling cosy all weekend. Was a bit tricky finding the house in the dark, but as long as you know it's behind the front house, then it's no issue at all. Definitely keen to come stay here again.

Nice spot, good reversing skills required

Good place to stay, there is a possum there that decided to scare the hell out of me and my dog at 1am, then again the following night when he landed on the roof and jumped down onto the deck. Overall and aside from that, is a great spot to stay.

Great little 2 bedroom bach. Narrow driveway with some clever reversing required. Cleanliness only OK, bit of a 'man clean' :-)

A good place for our dogs to be with a self enclosed deck. Everything you need in this vintage batch with wooden barrel shaped ceilings.

Cozy bach

Beautiful bach and view, you can see the Taupo bungee from the balcony. Its a cozy bach with a fireplace, perfect for a winter weekend break. Only thing to note is driveway is dark, which makes reversing out a bit tricky. In the day it's fine though. Also we found the bed a bit hard...but guess that's a preference thing.

RUSTIC RETREAT REVIEW

This property was ideal for myself especially. Being in a wheelchair, I had space to move around without any problem. The fireplace was great, with lots of firewood on hand to warm up the house, as well as other heaters. Loved the internal poles. the unusual lamp shades on the high walls, the various wall pictures and ornaments. Lots of lovely nic nacs, cutlery, crockery, pots etc. Driveway could do with reflective lighting, especially at entrance as vision is limited when reversing. The driveway is narrow so cannot turn around due to foliage on one side and the front unit on the other side. Apart from this problem, we would gladly come back again to this gem of a house. Thanks to Vicky, Property Manager, for taking care of us from arrival to departure. Hope to meet up with you again in the future.

We really enjoyed staying here.

We really enjoyed staying here. The weather was freezing and all the roads were closed!!! But we were snug and warm and comfortable. The log burner is lovely...and there was a big pile of firewood. I would recommend this place as it is so close to the river and to Taupo.

Property perfect for us with our dogs.

Property perfect for us with our dogs...fantastically cosy with a woodburner! Please don't change that ! Very convenient for town...beds very comfy...and I'm very fussy with that. Loved it and can't wait to go back! Quiet relaxing break...wonderful!
