Very communicative host. Great location with outstanding view. Quiet spot to relax with easy access to central Taormina and taxis/buses/trains. Very well-supplied kitchen. One flight of stairs down from front door to apartment is a little tricky with luggage but manageable. Highly recommend!

The property absolutely exceeded our expectations. Everything we needed was in the apartment. The large porch was a bonus. We fell asleep there several times. Market around the corner, cable car to get to Taormina proper around the corner, and beach just right there. We parked in a garage next to the cable car. It was a little expensive but worth it. You don’t want to drive in Taormina! The host was very responsive and access to the apartment without any hassle. I recommend for anyone to stay there. We did not want to leave! Thank you, Guisi.

Nice property situated near the beach, it was set out a bit strange, the kitchen was tiny and all the cutlery and crockery was in the lounge area. WiFi was only ok, the tv was small. Nice comfy beds, although it was on a main road could hardly hear the traffic. View fro the bedrooms and patio area was lovely.

Die Ferienwohnung liegt ideal, der Blick vom Balkon ist schön. Wir hätten uns gemütliche Balkonmöbel gewünscht. Die vier Stühle am Tisch (ohne Polster) sind ungemütlich und färben ab. Auch ein Sonnenschirm mit Schirmständer wäre sinnvoll für den Vormittag. Die Wohnung an sich könnte ebenfalls Aufmerksamkeit vertragen. Die Möblierung ist alt, klebrig und riecht muffig. In der Küche fühlen sich nur Zumindest in der Hauptsaison sollten pro Tag mindestens 20 Parkgebühr pro Tag einkalkuliert werden.

Perfection

Such a fantastic stay with a kind and attentive host. Giusi was so lovely and easy to communicate with. She visited the evening of our arrival and was so warm and friendly. The property is perfect. The bedrooms are comfortable with great (much needed) aircon, the balcony is breathtaking with views of the sea and beach.The location couldn’t be better. Steps to the Funivia to go up to the town with numerous bars and restaurants. You can walk down the steps to Mazzaro Beach and Isola Bella. Just opposite are very handy shops to pick up food and drinks aswell as little takeaways selling delicious Sicilian food. Thank you Guisi. See you when we visit again.

Amazing location! steps from the cable car, Isola Bella, and Bell’Assai (where we had our favorite meal in all of Italy). The location could not be better. If you need to park, you can use the lot by the cable car. The apt has everything you need, and is wonderfully cool and comfortable. The views from the balcony are breathtaking.

Eine saubere und moderne Wohnung mit tollem Blick vom Balkon auf die Bucht.Von der turbulenten Küstenstrasse oberhalb der Wohnung ist kaum was zu hören.Dafür sind kleine Läden und Bushaltestellen nicht weit entfernt,sodaß ein Auto nicht unbedingt nötig ist.Parken tags mit Glück an der Talstation der Kabelbahn (zu unserer Zeit gebührenfrei),abends war immer ein Parkplatz zu finden.Zum schönen Strand ist ein steiler Abstieg erforderlich.Die freundliche Vermieterin hat uns den Weg und das Halten zum Ausladen mit Warnblinker direkt vor der Eingangstüre gezeigt.Ist in Italien anscheinend üblich.Soll der nachfolgende Verkehr sehen wie er vorbeikommt.

Fabulous stay in an amazing location

This apartment is perfect! The view from the veranda takes your breath away and you just want to sit there straight away with a glass of wine and relax!The apartment is owned by the host, Guisi, and she was there to greet me on arrival and show me around the apartment. It was spotlessly clean and had 2 bedrooms of similar size, both of which had amazing views out over the sea.My friend and I arrived by car. We were lucky that there were 2 parking bays for unloading just near the apartment and they were available. We then moved the car 150 metres down the road to the car park for the cable car. Parking was free if you can get a space. You don't have to pay until July to park there. If there are no spaces you can drive to the back of this car park and up the slope where you will find private parking for 20 euros a day. We were lucky and managed to find a space each time.The apartment looks out over Mazzaro beach, which is definitely the better beach. The other beach that looks over Isola Bella is much more crowded and touristy. Check the cost of the sun loungers before you commit. One lot charged 25 euros a day and the next ones down charged 15 euros a day!There is a small supermarket across the road and a slightly larger one just down the road. The cable car is a 3-4 minute walk away and goes every 15 minutes up to Taormina. The ride takes 4-5 minutes and costs 6 euros one way or 10 euros for a return. The cable cars continue until around 1am.A perfect apartment!

Very comfortable flat, spectacular seafront view, convenient location

Giusi, our host, welcomed us at the front door of the flat and immediately made us feel at home. Our jaws dropped when we walked out onto the seafront terrace with its cheerful geraniums, comfortable seats, and spectacular panoramic view of Mazzarò Bay. The photos of the terrace on the VRBO website do not do it justice. Though the flat is on the busy Via Nazionale, you wouldn’t know it once you’re inside. No traffic noise at all. Another great aspect of the flat is its convenient location. It’s a short walk from the cable car up the mountain to Taormina (a fun ride!). It’s also a short walk from the stairway up the mountain with its wonderful views of the coastline, and to the stairway down to the beach leading to Isola Bella. Across the street from the flat is a well-stocked mini-market where we were able to buy all the groceries we needed. Since we were on our honeymoon, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the romantic Ristorante Sant’Andrea in the five-star Belmond hotel—3 minutes walk away from the flat. We also enjoyed an afternoon at the public beach at the far end of Mazzarò Bay. As we told Giusi at the end of our stay, we would definitely stay here again and for more than the brief three-night visit on our first trip to Sicily.

Excellent apartment in a perfect location in Mazzaro

The apartment had a terrace with a beautiful view of the sea.We parked about 150 meters away at the Funivia parking lot.There were three excellent restaurants, a minimarket and the stairs to Isila Bella within 100 meters to the south.

Giusi is an amazing host! Her place is in a primo location w two beautiful beaches literally a few yards to the left and the right. The cable car up to Taormina center is literally across the street and the view is beyond amazing! Hope to return one day!

Perfect location and sea views

The location is perfect. Much less busy than the city of Taormina. The apartment is on a hilltop looking down at a lovely bay and Mozzaro beach. Lots of restaurants with sea views and 3 min walk from bus and taxi stands and the cable cars. Unfortunately the cable cars were under repair during our visit as this would have been super convenient to quickly get up to Taormina. Should reopen soon. Apt was well equipped and host was very helpful. Can’t beat the location. Especially in busy tourist season.

Ideal location for exploring the local area and fantastic views from the terrace.

The apartment was clean and bright and provided for all our needs and more. Giusi was the perfect host, meeting us on arrival, and helping us to arrange a taxi for our return to the airport. She also provided fresh milk as requested, so we could enjoy a cup of tea at apartment- a must for us Brits. The view from the terrace was the best part of the accommodation and we spent time enjoying sunrises and nighttime views alike. It was the perfect location for us to explore both the town of Taormina, being a 5 minute walk from the cable car up to the town, and for accessing the local beaches and buses to take us further afield. We would happily stay again, without hesitation.
