Our family loved the house, staff, and location. We highly recommend this place. It is a beautiful massive home on the beach and a short walk to town.
We had 7 adults and 9 kids (ages 4-17) and stayed in the main house. The guest house has an additional 2 bedrooms with several beds. The beds were very comfortable, and the AC units appeared new. Every room had a bathroom and large TV. The property is gated with 24-hour security; we felt safe the entire trip. The WiFI worked great during our stay; we streamed music and TV streaming services. Some US-based content was blocked, but we still found a few movies for the kids to watch in the theater.
Every day the staff would place chairs on the beach in the shade and keep them open for our use. The house layout allowed for many areas to sit/lay in the shade and plenty of sunny spots around the pool. In the afternoon, most of the pool is shaded, which provides a nice break from the sun. The staff cleaned the pool daily, along with maintaining the entire property.
Mariana, Donna, and Mabel were all great. Our rooms were cleaned daily, and the shared spaces were sometimes multiple times. We always had plenty of pool/beach towels clean throughout our stay.
We booked meals with Chef Ulysses and Evelyn, and the food was excellent. They did everything from buying the food to cleaning the plates. They really removed the stress from mealtimes for our large group. The leftovers typically provided us with a snack/lunch the following day, so it was kind of like getting two meals worth. If we return, we will absolutely book them for at least a meal daily. Also, Evelyn has a friend who makes fantastic sugar donuts (donas)!
Mariana/Donna helped coordinate several things for us. Airport transfers, a sunset cruise with Marlin del Rey (walkable), a 6-seat electric golf cart from Rent Me Tamarindo (dropped off/picked up), surf lessons (beach out front), and a zipline at Monkey Jungle (picked us up at the house).
The beach in front of the home is amazing, with very nice sand. During low tide, the beach has to be over 300 ft of pure sand. The property had four boogie boards, lots of pool toys, beach toys, and a couple of portable beach chairs left by prior guests. Not having to travel with these or purchase them in town was nice.
