The villa was cozy but beautiful and had all the amenities we needed. Walking in the gate is like stepping into an oasis. The pool was beautiful and relaxing. It is slightly far from the beach and some of the main strip if you want to walk everywhere, but we had a car so it wasn't an issue for us. The host provided good communications and messaged us a couple of times during our stay to ensure we had everything we needed, which we did. We enjoyed our stay here and would stay again. Was a good value.

The villa was very clean. Beds were extremely comfortable. Perfect for 2 couples with an onsuit bathroom in each bedroom. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need to cook a meal. The grounds were beautifully maintained, as was the pool. Sonia was quick to respond to any questions. I would 100% recommend this rental. I hope to return soon!

Our stay at the luxury spanish villa was great. Sonia was so helpful and answered all our questions prior to booking and after booking our stay. She helped with our transportation from the airport to the villa, and once we arrived we received a warm welcome from Jorge. Jorge assisted us with planning excursions and transportation while we stayed in Tamarindo. He was very accessible and kind. The villa was perfect for our family and the hosts really thought of everything we might need. The location was walking distance to restaurants and shops. We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again soon.

This is a beautiful unit and perfect base for beach explorations. Quiet and very comfortable for all of us. Jorge is a wonderful host and resource on everything local. I encourage visitors to read the booklet on restaurant recommendations- they were all excellent. The feline visitors are so sweet - we loved having them around

Charming and Authentic

What an amazing stay for our first time in Tamarindo! Pueblo Colonial was like a private little oasis, tucked just far enough away to be peaceful and quiet but a short walk to the downtown and beach. We loved the charming, authentic feel of the villa. It was clean, cool and supplied with all the necessities. I would highly recommend Pueblo Colonial to anyone looking for a peaceful, more authentic stay in Tamarindo.

Private oasis close to town

This villa was spacious and comfortable for our family of three. The grounds are lush and meticulous maintained. The pool was cool and inviting and we had it to ourselves the three times we made use of it. The villa itself was very clean, nicely updated and cool thanks to AC units that worked very well. We appreciated the amenities provided by the owner that made our stay very convenient—full size shampoo/conditioner in showers, beach chairs and towels, spices, seasonings and oil in the kitchen. Jorge and Sonia (property managers) were accessible, and communication with them was very timely and easy! The villa is close enough to town and beach that we walked everywhere, but the gated community is so private and quiet. We had a wonderful time and will definitely stay here again if we are ever back in Tamarindo!

Fabulous Property!

We spent 5 nights at this property and loved every minute. If is beautifully appointed very much, what I would think a Spanish Villa would look like and very comfortable. It's close enough to the beach & town that we walked everywhere. Upon your return it was like stepping into your own little oasis with beautiful gardens and the sound of water fountains and waterfalls surrounding you.We love to cook and the kitchen had plenty of prep space with all the necessary gadgets to make it easier. There was even some oil and spices provided and the grocery store was close.The pool was deep,refreshing and well maintained.The gas bbq's were clean and right outside our door. The property manager was there to greet us and always available. The beds were comfortable and we loved sipping our morning coffee on the front patio in the deck chairs.If you enjoy going to the gym, there is an excellent one very close to the property.I would highly recommend this property and definately plan to return.

Best stay in Costa Rica

Beautiful villa and property grounds/pool with nice neighbors and reasonable walking distance to shops, store, beach, yoga with Alejandro at hotel in the area. Inside decor and amenities were soothing after travel and we cooked dinner and spent time indoors too due to pleasantness. Paradise!

Beautiful

I booked this property based on the reviews and can say the reviews are accurate. When you walk onto the property grounds you find yourself in a private oasis, green with lush plants and flowers. The villa itself is well appointed with everything you need to have a comfortable stay. The property is clean, bright, and welcoming. I loved the pool and enjoyed having coffee on the front patio. The location is just a short 5 - 10-minute walk to groceries, restaurants, cafes, and shopping; and only a 10-minute walk to the beaches with those fabulous sunsets.

A pleasant surprise!

Wow, we stayed here for 4 months in 2020 during covid and when we walked into the unit this time it was completely different, the new owners have updated, painted, redone many things like cabinets and furniture. They have turned it into a very welcoming space. We would highly recommend this unit to anyone looking for a home away from home. The overall complex is very unique, practically an oasis. The management is extremely helpful, from helping with transportation from and return to airport to tours and local eateries. Definingly 5 stars!

A Lovely Property

We were so happy to return to Villa 9 at Pueblo Colonial. This is the perfect place to stay when in Tamarindo. The villa is a 10 minute walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Villa 9 is set within an intimate and quaint gated community with lush gardens, BBQ’s and a refreshing swimming pool. The two bedroom villa is very roomy, freshly painted, newly decorated with new furnishings. This villa has had many recent upgrades, a beautiful modern kitchen, dining area and sitting area. The villa has all that you will need, whether you choose to fix a gourmet meal, practice yoga by the pool or enjoy an afternoon cocktail on the patio. The staff, Sonia and Jorge, are knowledgable and accommodating, eager and ready to help. Your stay at Villa 9 will be comfortable, relaxing and pleasurable!

Comfortable Villa, convenient location, incredible pool

This is a great spot to stay to get the best of Tamarindo! It’s a quick walk to the beach and close to a grocery store and restaurants. The complex is beautifully maintained. The pool is perfect for escaping the hot afternoons! The villa itself is comfortable and cute. We loved hanging out on the outdoor patio and when things got too hot the place stayed nice and cool. The kitchen has everything you need and with the corner grocery so close we got to sample lots of local produce and try out some local recipes! Overall a great stay for location, comfort, and ease. The host was welcoming and communicative. The staff at the complex were so kind and helpful!

Loved our stay in Tamarindo

We loved our stay at the villa in Tamarindo! The property and pool were pristine. Well stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds! Appreciate room darkening and good air conditioning!
