  • I hope this is your base for all kinds of fun activities or R&R. This is our home away from home and I hope you view it as such. It's not a show home. Meant to be lived in. Lay on the couch after a fun day surfing or exploring.

    This is a stand alone house, not a condo. No long hallways, no elevators. A fully equipped kitchen, laundry room, 2 bedroom, 2-1/2 bath. In Costa Rica. We call it a Villa and that includes your own private parking stall just a few steps away. If you don't feel like driving, no problem as everything is within walking distance and really is a better way to enjoy Tamarindo and the friendly locals. The incredible beach is just 850 meters away. Over half mile of adventure in the heart of town.

    Important Update - we have installed a back-up water cistern. VERY important especially during high season. You still need to be conscious of water use.

    Main Floor
    •Fully equipped kitchen including coffee maker, blender, granite countertops, raised eating bar and a separate eating area with a table and four chairs
    •Comfortably appointed living room, with a large sectional, entertainment system, flat screen TV with built in DVD and free wifi phone to make free calls to the USA
    •Washer Dryer and sink in Laundry room
    •Two piece bathroom on main
    •Coat closet
    •Expanded lanai by the entrance. Perfect for reading or watching the kids in the pool.

    Upper Floor
    •Master bedroom, with a queen bed, an en-suite with a shower, independent AC, ceiling fan, and a balcony that overlooks the pool
    •Second bedroom, with a queen bed and a double bed plus a twin bunk bed above the double bed plus a full en-suite bathroom, independent AC.
    The air conditioning system has independent controls for each floor as well as for each bedroom.
    Furnishings, appliances, and other details are included.

    We love having the pool right outside your door.

Perfect location, we were easily able to walk to the beach and restaurants. The complex had a lovely pool and gardens to relax at after days a the beach. Host, property manager and caretaker communicated well, and made sure our stay went smoothly!

Easy communication with host and manager. Super clean, well-supplied home. Perfect description of home, which is very well located. Close enough to walk to town, but far enough so that you’re not in the middle of the tourist area. Quick response from team to help with kitchen stove issue. Sonia (manager) was helpful with getting us reservations for activities/outings. Would definitely stay here again.

We just spent 10 days at Pueblo Colonial and it was a great place to stay. The pool was right outside our door and we could walk to everything. The property managers, Facundo and Sonia were also very attentive and helped with anything we needed. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Great location.

Nicely equipped townhouse next to the pool with beautiful water feature. Felt very safe and semi private. Easy walk into town. Would definitely stay here again.

A perfect stay in Tamarindo

Kathy's place was the perfect base for our one-month stay in Costa Rica. Her home is charming, and the house is perfectly located in front of the pool which was great for us. A short walk to the main part of town and the beach. We loved it and would stay again.

Awesome place, great layout

We loved staying in this place - it was the best of the four places we stayed during our two weeks in Costa Rica. The house had a great layout and was well placed right across from the pool. There were several great restaurants within a couple blocks of the places.

Perfect location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Having the pool in the front was perfect for our kids, who loved going in on each day. The Thursday night market is a must - amazing food and music. Fabulous location. We will be recommending to our friends!

Perfect Costa Rican villa for family of 5

The villa was a perfect size for our family of 5. The property was gorgeous, well maintained and conveniently located in the heart of Tamarindo. Jorge, the property manager was so kind and helpful. We will definitely be back!

This property is an absolute Gem ! The villa as advertised is close to town , beach , restaurants etc. Kathy was great to communicate with and always responded quickly to any questions I had . Sonia who runs Happy Trips arranged airport transfers and was also great at communicating back and forth .David who drove us both times was a good guy . On site Facundo was around everyday taking care of property and there to answer any questions or concerns . A genuinely nice young guy from Argentina who I chatted with in the mornings while having my coffee . The landscaping and pool make you feel you're in your own private resort. One of the most pleasant stays I've had at a rental for sure . I highly recommend and plan to return one day . Pura Vida

Amazing experience!!!!

This property was perfect from the moment we got to Tamarindo! The house is basically a 10-15 minute walk from everything in the city. After going out and exploring it was great to get in the pool to relax and cool off. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed to make this vacation to Tamarindo absolutely perfect!!!! We will definitely be booking this place again for a future trip!

Tamarindo Getaway

This property was stupendous. The compound itself was gorgeous and very inviting. It was very private and quiet. The villa we stayed in was very comfortable and well equipped. It was a lovely spot. I have already recommended it to friends.

Casa Colorado was a very clean, lovely and comfortable 2 bedroom AC villa in Tamarindo! 15 minute walk to the beach! We were there late March early April when it was very hot. The AC and pool out our door was very much appreciated and used!Owner Kathy & Aaron left us with many good tips of what to do in the area and surrounding areas. The Panache Catamaran/ Snorkeling trip was one of the highlights of our stay, out of Flamingo beach. Our morning walks/swims on Tamarindo and nearby gorgeous and breezy beaches ( Langosta and Playa Grande) were our daily fitness routine. We didn’t rent a car but hired an Uber with Roger one day so we could explore/ horse ride/walk Brasilto, Conchal and Puerto Viejo beaches. Every beach has a few lunch spots. The food was always exceptional!This is a great VRBO condo in Tamarindo!

Tamarindo Christmas

Great property, loved location, property managers were always available and helpful. We rented a golf cart for ease of getting to beach and restaurants but very walkable which we also did several times. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the mattresses and pillows.

This was our 2nd visit to Kathy’s villa. We love everything about this location. No vehicle required for our group. Walking distance to groceries, restaurants and beach. The swimming pool, which is lovely and well maintained, was just a few steps from our veranda. The Villa is very well equipped with anything you will need. The host, Kathy, was always quick to respond before our trip. Sonia and Facundo, on site office and maintenance staff, are excellent and very helpful! Tamarindo is a fun location. Lots of lovely restaurants all along the massive beach and lots of shops around town. Will hopefully get back there some day! Cheers and Pura Vida!

Fantastic Place in Tamarindo

Our family of four loved staying at Pueblo Colonial. Lots of space, clean and property managers very helpful and always available to answer question or for help. For 5 days this place was our base as we adventured Tamarindo and beyond with a rented golf cart. So much walking distance as well - beach, stores, restaurants and more. I would highly recommend this place with a shared pool right outside the door to enjoy as well.

Perfect stay!

We loved our stay in Casa Colorado! The townhome is perfectly appointed for a family of four, with a fully-equipped kitchen, all the beach and pool stuff you could need, and plenty of linens and towels. Having the most gorgeous pool right in front was also a huge bonus, especially after a day of surfing or excursions. When we left after our 9-day stay, we felt as though we were leaving our home! Everything in Tamarindo center was just a 10-minute walk away, and the Thursday night market, just around the corner, is not to be missed! Do not hesitate to book this wonderful home!

Great Place!!

The house was so cute and cozy. Nice big master bedroom with beautiful large windows and a small terrace. The pool was steps out the front door. Nice and deep on one end which was perfect for our son. Communication was great and we would stay again.

Great home base

This property served as a wonderful home base for our week in Tamarindo. The accommodations were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and having the pool directly outside our door was wonderful! It was a short walk (10-15 minutes, depending on your speed) to the main beach area. Kathry was very responsive to my inquiries before the trip and Sonia and Jorge were very helpful at the property. We would definitely stay here again, should our travels bring us back to Tamarindo!

Perfect stay in Tamarindo!

Casa Colorado was the perfect place to spend our week in Tamarindo. The house was well equipped. We loved having the pool right out the front door. A/C units worked great. Extra comfy beds. Felt very safe, and love that Jorge the property manger was onsite. 10/10 would stay again!!
