An overall decent stay. Not blown away.

We had a good time in the IBIS condo. The bunk beds for the kids were great and the place was very roomy. Some things to note that could use improvement: 1) Cleanliness was ok but not great. We did notice our feet were getting dirty walking around the condo. The cupboards could use a good wipe down. We stayed for 11 days and had 1 cleaning near the end of the stay. 2) Some of the appliances and furnishings could use some attention. The blender is quite old and not working the greatest 3) the outdoor patio pool isn’t the greatest. It was filled with leaves and didn’t get cleaned at all while we were there. We thought it would be great for the kids to sit in for a bit here and there… but it never got used once 4) the elevator in the condo is sketchy. It broke down while someone was in it which was quite scary for that person. Stuck in there for over an hour Some of the things we enjoyed: 1) The Langosta Beach Club was great to have right across the street. The beach there is the best spot and out of the chaos. Pool not super clean. 2) Seen monkeys right off the patio a few mornings! 3) The Staff (Cal Matcho specifically) was awesome 4) Golf cart not needed but very helpful to go for dinner and get food. The staff kept a close eye on it for us and it was super fun for us to cruise around in! Overall, we had a good stay and I think this place would be suitable for a family. Maybe we are very picky but we also paid over $11k for 11 days and had high expectations.

Tamarindo Stay

Great combination of surf, sun, relaxation and activities. The condo was beyond our expectations. Tamarindo itself is very busy and touristy but we had an outstanding experience, Pura Vida Costa Rica !!!!

Excellent stay!

We had an amazing stay at Ibis. Close to the perfect beach. Access to Langosta beach club was a huge, terrific perk. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Rafa helped us arrange transportation and anything else we needed. Highly recommend.

Beautiful newly renovated and furnished three-bedroom condo in Langosta

Beautiful renovated and newly furnished three-bedroom, four bath condo in ideal location with a membership at the Langosta Beach club across the street. Access to this club is key as it is on one of the nicest beaches in the area with resort services. Spacious living area with spacious terraces. New stone kitchen. There are no negatives with this condo. We had a problem with one of the two central air-conditioning units that serviced the bedrooms. The managing agent was very responsive and sent people over in the evening to fix. They did improve it but it was still not working optimally at the time that we left as we were not able to get the bedroom temperature below 74°. Since along with the condo renovation these units were recently replaced I assume they will correct the problem in the near future. Located just beyond the busy area of Tamarindo it is quiet yet convenient to all the of the town. We had rented a golf cart for our stay but you can easily get by without. No need for alarm clock as the howler monkeys in the preserve the building abuts in the back may awaken you. Highly recommend

wonderful stay in a fantastic location

My family and I stayed in late Feb. 2022 and really enjoyed Ibis#10. The fridge broke the morning of our check-in date and the issue was remedied soon after we arrived at the condo. The team was very easy to work with and answered our questions all during the week. My kids loved being across the street from the Langosta beach club. Plan to stay again in March 2023!

What a vacation home

This was our first time in Costa Rica and tamarindo. Let’s start with the condo, it is 100 percent what the listing states. Inside was just gorgeous, we are a family of 6 (4 teens) we had plenty of room! The grounds men are just wonderful and are very appreciative of speaking with you/ helping out. We gave them tips and the smiles showed appreciation. The beach club, great vibe, rent a cabana (they are free for 1/2 day, either mornings or afternoons). Beach, we were there in July and not crowded at all..perfection. Water temp was around 82 degrees. We booked Rosanna to cook for us on the last night..homemade ceviche/guacamole/steak/ fish all of delicious. If we had another day we would have booked breakfast as well! Location, about 5-10 minute walk to town (yes, very safe). Simply said Pura Vida!

Amazing place!!

This condo far exceeded our expectations! Perfect location (tucked right outside of town but still walkable) and right across from a gorgeous beach club we used daily. The concierge and staff were so helpful and nice. We loved the town, the views and the whole experience of Tamarindo Costa Rica!!

Tamarindo Penthouse

Overall, the condo was great. It's large and nicely furnished. The location is within walking distance of everything you need, and the golf cart rental came in handy. There were a few hiccups though. The AC didn't work in the living area for the first couple of days. The oven didn't work and 2 of 4 burners wouldn't light initially. Rafa was able to get everything fixed quickly, except the oven.

Amazing stay!

The property is lovely - beautiful, comfortable, fantastic location across the street from Langosta Beach Club. Having access to the Beach Club with a membership makes this rental fantastic! We spent most of our time at the Beach Club - pools, cabanas & food were perfect!

Very Pleased

Hi, we were very pleased with our stay. We had a party of five including two young adults and my active 80 year old mother. We loved the penthouse condo, access to the club pool/restaurant and proximity to the beach & town. The desk attendants were also very helpful and ensured we had a very nice stay. The reasons for rating the unit 4 stars vs. 5 are: 1) The water pressure in the master bedroom shower was weak and we elected to use the other showers instead, and 2) The elevator did not work well. Luckily my mom could walk the three flights of stairs. Otherwise everything else was perfect!

Gorgeous Condo

We spent a week at Ibis on the Beach in penthouse #10 on the top floor. The condo was beautiful inside. The a/c worked great in both the main room and in the bedrooms. The large outdoor patio looking towards the beach (although you can't see the beach) was lovely but can be a little noisy with traffic. We loved sitting on the balconies overlooking the nature preserve in back. Across the street is the Langosta Beach Club which is included with the condo so very convenient. It has a restaurant, bar, pool, chairs on beach, and towels. Beach is very nice. Condo is only a 10 min walk to town where you'll find shops, restaurants, and small supermarkets. No need for a car. We took a shuttle from LIR airport (1 hr drive) thru 506 Transfers (family owned..awesome people). No need for taxi. Condo location is perfect...away from all the chaos but within a short walk of town. We booked a number of excusions thru Stefano. Used 506 Transfers for awesome trip to Arenal to zipline, hot springs and La Fortuna waterfall. 506 Transfers also took us to Tenorio Adventures where we went white water rafting which was a blast. Can't say enough good things about 506...Sebastian and Guido! We took a kayak trip on estuary in Tamarindo which was fun. Another highlight was hiring Chef Frank with BellyFedBetter who came to the condo and cooked dinner one night. Highly recommend him! Food was delicious!! We had hired the chicas to cook a traditional meal the night we arrived but unfortunately they never showed up. We also booked surf lessons for the five of us. The lessons were a lot of fun. Unfortunately, only one of two instructors showed up. All that being said, we would do it all again. The trips were easy to set up through Stefano, and he answered all of my many questions. Our stay was a nice mix of excursions and time on the beach. Our favorite restaurants: Seasons (cash only) and Dragonfly Bar and Grill. Will want reservations for both. Heard Panga's was also very good but didn't make it there (need reservations). Had good pizza at Pizzeria La Baula. Surf Shack is a great spot for lunch. Volcano Brewing had great beer. Good breakfast spots: La Bodega, Cafe Tico, and Nogui's. Heard Nordico Coffee House was good too but never made it. Most restaurants and supermarkets took credit cards but smaller places only took cash. Every place took dollars. All of our excursions were cash only. Bottom line: Highly recommend this condo! Enjoy!

Perfect Space and Location!

The penthouse FAR exceeded our expectations! The photos online must be a bit dated because all of the furniture was different from what was shown - for the better in my opinion with a more modern feel. It truly felt like home away versus a vacation rental. It came fully stocked with quality pots/pans/serving dishes for all of your entertainment and daily living needs. This rental comes with access to a gorgeous beach club literally right across the street so it was nice to run up whenever we needed something without losing precious beach time. It also had wi-fi so we could keep our phones on airplane mode and still receive and send text messages when connected without occurring additional charges. It was located on the edge of town so just a quick 5 minute walk up the beach to dinner every night. Tamarindo is a very casual town where you can "come as you are" to nearly any store or restaurant. We felt safe and relaxed at all times! We were glad we decided not to rent a car as you really don't need one at all. A cab ride is only $4 if you needed it to carry groceries back or were going to venture further out for dinner. Gil and his son Sabastian were our drivers to and from the airport and on our Adrenaline Day Excursion. They were WONDERFUL! They greeted us with beer and water for the 1.5 hour drive to the condo and even made a stop at the grocery store so we could pick up a few things for the week. Sabastian spoke great English so he accompanied us into the grocery store helping us make recommendations and pay with the correct currency. He shared lots of knowledge with us about the culture and island every time we rode with them. When Gill picked us up to take us back to the airport he even remembered to bring us sugar cane to sample as we had been talking about wanting to try it. I think they are the designated drivers for this property but I would make sure to request them again should we return just in case! Overall our week in Costa Rica was amazing and we would definitely stay here again next time - it's hard to top!

Pura Vida!

Just sadly returned from our Costa Rica trip! The photos do not do the place justice! No expense spared with the property! The staff at Ibis on the Beach were all so warm and helpful.From answering simple questions to arranging wonderful adventures! The beach club across the street was fantastic also. We loved our stay

Our family rented this unit and my sister-in-law's family rented the other unit. We wanted to be close to each other but each have our own space. It was perfect. Unit 9 and 10 are almost identical and they are both on the 3rd level right next to each other. The staff were awesome and they were so helpful with planning everything from drivers to activities. We did zip-lining, quad tours, river tours, and rented a golf cart for exploring. We also hired the local ladies to cook for us for breakfast and Chef Frank for dinners. I recommend hiring them to cook for you. It was awesome. These units were great because you have access to a pool/club right across the street and also have beach access as well. The bartender at the club was outstanding and totally took care of us. We would do activities in the morning and then play at the pool/beach in the afternoon. I highly recommend the pura vida cocktail. Yum. Also, the beach is VERY kid friendly with hermit crabs, sand dollars and warm water. Make sure you visit the beach during low tide because it's truly magical. Our kids loved this vacation.

Amazing property!!

We recently stayed here with my sister and brother in law and my parent-in-laws, who were celebrating their 70th birthdays. Honestly, the whole experience was fantastic. We are pretty seasoned "homeaway-ers", having stayed in properties all over the US and Europe, and I have to say, this was way up there in terms of the quality of the property, the professionalism of the staff and the amenities. The house is extremely well stocked (crate and barrel / williams sonoma, etc.) and has nearly everything you need including a decent blender if you like to make smoothies or margaritas! The beds are pretty comfy (pillows are a little wonky), but the bonus of having a bathroom en suite in each bedroom makes traveling with a group so much more comfortable, not to mention the beautiful balcony's two of the bedrooms have - perfect for enjoying your morning coffee and looking at the sunrise over the preserve behind the property. Access to the beach club across the street was included and it was key to our experience - we reserved a cabana for at least half of the day, each day we were there and it was perfect for us to be able to sit by the pool, yet be on the beach and just relax... The walk into town on the beach is 5-7 minutes and if you take the road it's about 10 minutes. There is an excellent farmers market just down the way on Saturdays (highly recommend) and a surprisingly well stocked grocery store that the property staff will drive you to for a nominal fee (alternatively, we rented bikes from them for $10 a day that had baskets and just rode down and shopped, it was less than 3 miles). I would caution anyone that is used to "resort-town food" that this area offers more standard fare. Most of our experiences with "nicer" restaurants were pretty average, but Season's by Shlomy was the most standout... We absolutely loved the area - the people are insanely friendly, including the staff at the condo, who were absolutely LOVELY. Totally recommend this property if you are considering the area - with the inclusion of the huge balcony that has a private hot tub, the beach club and the perfect proximity to the beach and town, I'd be hard pressed to imagine a better choice.

Beautiful! Everything we needed right there

Everything about this unit was nice. It was well managed with assistance available in everything from parking to luggage to restaurant reservations and recommendations. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. This condo was equipped with everything we needed and it was all high quality. Couldn't. Have asked for a better place to stay. Cannot wait to go back.

Incredible vacation rental with high end features, expansive patio, and hotel-like amenities

We stayed with two families at the penthouse and could not have been more pleased. The onsite staff was amazing. We had 5 children who were greeted by Camacho every morning with a high five. We needed roll-away beds and a babysitter and the staff made all of that easy to get and organize. The actual condo was top notch. The rooms were big, the bathrooms were all high end, and the patio was huge. The photos do justice to the condo itself --- all the descriptions are accurate. Across the street, the beach club was incredible as well. We had a cabana every day and the staff at the beach club were awesome too. We could cook at the rental or eat at the beach club so the convenience made the vacation easy. When it comes to Tamarindo, we were surprised the grocery store was soo expensive so eating out cost about the same as shopping at the grocery store. We have traveled quite a bit with our children and have agreed this stay was one of the best we've ever had. We are hoping to be able to come back again!
