La Maison du Village

Centrally located in Talloires village, a couple of minutes' walk to the waterfront, this lovely character building comprises 3 self-contained apartments, here rented as one unit, ideal for families and groups wanting to spend time together whilst still keeping some privacy!

3 lovely self-contained apartments, with a shared exterior terrace with BBQ and balconies off the upper apartment.

The lower Apartment 1 of 35m2 is a lovely studio complete with queen-size bed and a sofa/ bed for one person, a bathroom with a washing machine, a kitchen, wifi, and air-conditioning.

Apartments 2 and 3 are accessed by a shared lobby on the first level.

Apartment 2 is 35m2 and has a separate bedroom with a double bed, bathroom, kitchen, and dining area with sofa bed, TV, and wifi.

Apartment 3 is the largest apartment on the top floor at 80m2 with open plan kitchen, dining, and living rooms opening out onto balconies and views of the village life and the lake. This apartment has a cosy lounge with TV and Wifi, and a piano. There is a shower room and toilet at this level, as well as a desk and printer and washing machine, and dryer. Up a flight of stairs are 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom. with air conditioning. One Queen bedroom and the other containing 2 single beds that can create a double. Above the steep stairs is a sleeping mezzanine level with 2 single beds. Both bedrooms have air conditioning.

The house is fantastic to enjoy the village life and the proximity to the lakeside activities; a market takes place every thursday, the main village piazza with restaurants, cafe, grocer, and tourists are just under our windows.

You are a 5-minute walk to the cycling lane, the village beach with diving boards and platforms to jump from, a paddling pool, volley ball pitch, a great pizza place, live music etc. . The nearby nautical center where you can hire paddle boards, kayaks, pedaloes etc

In town, you will find a fine bakery, a grocer, a newspaper shop, and a cycle café where you can hire bikes. There are also many restaurants. Warning: from mid-October, several restaurants and waterfront activities close for the winter season.
Talloires also has its own little cinema, showing blockbusters as well as more independent films, French and VO.

Just at the bottom of our lane is the cycle lane that goes all around the lake, now fully secured. It is a great run for all the family, you can easily reach Angon and its lovely beach as well as stop anywhere along the waterfront to enjoy a swim.

- Go up to La Clusaz (20mn drive) for a ski, a horse carriage ride, sledging, snow shoeing, outdoor pool and enjoy lots of traditional savoyard restaurants and a great winter/mountain atmosphere ;
- Go for a long snowshoeing trail in Manigod, Semnoz or Confins,
- Try out ski nordic in Grand Bornand, Plateau des Glieres, Manigod or Semnoz
