Looking at the sun reflecting off the whitewashed walls and deep blue jewel tones of the sea and sky, you'd be forgiven for thinking you were on an idyllic Grecian island.

Picturesque on Paku is a 4-bedroom holiday home on the Paku Peninsula of Tairua, boasting postcard-perfect views across the harbour and golden sands.

Feel as though you're waking up in a resort from the top level master bedroom with private balcony and sunlounger for long lazy days. The views from the top level are second to none!

Perfectly set up for groups, there's plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy their own space. Soak up some sun on the large deck while enjoying a plunger coffee in the morning or while the BBQ is fired up for a classic Kiwi meal.

In cooler months, cosy up with your group around the fireplace with the library of games.

Tairua is a laidback seaside town, with lots to see and do for those who want an adventure; and stunning views and a relaxed vibe for those who want to do nothing but work on their tan!

You're a short walk from the top of Mount Paku, so be sure to walk up to the summit for the best views in all of Tairua. Tairua Marina and beach are a leisurely walk or 2-minute drive away, with safe surfing and soft golden sands.

Keen explorers can also jump off Pepe Bridge, or take a kayak tour from Hot Water Beach to Cathedral Cove, looking out for dolphins along the way.

Beautiful views but that’s it.

It was just me and a friend for this huge house, so it was very spacious. Views are more than expected. The inside of the house can use some updating, especially the appliances (dishwasher croaked on us and started to flood the kitchen). Also found a dirty diaper bagged in the balcony by the kitchen, didn’t appreciate that. Also the project manager said she’s been trying to call and call my number to no avail, but didn’t think to email me until the day of check in to a request I made. So definitely the communication can definitely be a lot better. I reported the flood and leaking dishwasher to the main office of Bachcare, yet I didn’t hear back from them or the house manager. So the lack of communication is widespread. This was my first time using VRBO and def not encouraged to use it again.
