Your family, group or team will feel right at home in this spacious, well-appointed Mission Arts and Crafts style historic home. Classic oak and leather furnishings throughout, 4 luxurious bedrooms, library with twin leather Morris chairs and ottomans, impressive dining room with original built-in buffet and table for 8-10, dedicated office space, super fast WiFi. Living room with comfy leather sofa and recliners, cozy electric fireplace and 55” smart tv, plus lots of musical instruments, puzzles and games. Bathroom with a restored antique clawfoot tub/shower, fully equipped 1950’s period kitchen with new appliances. Curated art by Van Gogh, Monet, Parrish and Mucha. 4 large bedrooms furnished with authentic Westin Hotel “Heavenly” beds and top quality linens. Central A/C. Outdoor grill and table/chairs. Excellent transit access, just a short walk to light rail or bus for easy access to Seattle stadium venues, downtown or SeaTac airport. Walk to restaurants and shopping. 6 minute drive to Tacoma Dome and bus or Amtrak station, 4 minutes to convention center. Ferry Park playground is one block away, soccer or futbol playfields 4 blocks away. Free street parking for multiple cars on this larger corner lot, plus a one-car driveway in back. Please no pets and no smoking in this historic 1923 home.

This place is simply spectacular. From the exceptionally well-stocked kitchen to the tasteful decor, large dining room table, and musical instruments, it was beyond perfect for my stay. We had guests in for a small afternoon "celebration of life" for my recently departed musician mother; the vibes were so warm, comforting and comfortable -- completely appropriate.

Cathy was very responsive to any concerns we had. The house was great and met our needs - excellent air conditioning was greatly appreciated. The back yard was perfect for grilling and visiting in the early mornings and evenings. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Perfect Intro to Pacific NW Life!

Our kids and grandkids made their first ever trip to Washington from Indiana and Cathy’s Craftsman was perfect!! It is close to everything - has a nice park up the block and most importantly it feels just like home!! Do not hesitate to book this lovely craftsman - it is amazing!

Best house stay we have ever had

This home was extremely well set up and had everything we needed. The small touches count: fresh coffee, condiments in the fridge, some basics in the cupboard, internet that worked well, and easy check-in. On top of that, the house was warm and inviting, the rooms were on point, and there were lots of clean towels, etc. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Cozy Getaway

We had a fantastic stay at this home! It was incredibly cozy, clean, and comfortable, making it the perfect place to relax. The house was very spacious, offering plenty of room to spread out. It was also well-stocked with amenities, making the stay even more convenient. From start to finish, everything was smooth and enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-equipped place to stay!

Wonderful Homebase

This home is clean and beautiful! We were so grateful for such a nice place to come back to during our busy 3 night stay. Easy check-in. Communication with the host was very quick. We had a change of plans and needed to come to Tacoma a day early, the host was able to check the schedule and get us booked. We really appreciated being able to stay at the house that extra day rather than trying to find a hotel for one night on short notice.

Cozy, Fully Equipped Getaway

This home was exceedingly well put together. The amount of thought put in to accommodate guests is unparalleled. Beside how well stocked the amenities were, the ambiance was warm and inviting. Each room has it's own character, but the designer was able to weave a fluidity throughout. Do yourself justice and book today!

New Favorite Place to Stay

I can’t say enough good things about this rental. 5 Stars A+ 10/10 They understood the assignment! Absolutely beautiful, charming home that was clean, well stocked, and so comfortable! The host was extremely kind and went over and beyond for us, including mailing us an item that was left behind. There were so many thoughtful details, that made us feel like we were staying at a 5 Star hotel. Plenty of blankets and towels, chargers all throughout the house, and cute little baskets with toiletries. We really enjoyed the games, puzzles, and musical instruments that were there for our enjoyment. The beds and pillows were so comfortable and we all slept like babies. Plenty of space for our family of 7. If I had to suggest anything, it would be to add blackout panels to the Poppies room, but the natural alarm clock of the sun wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. There was some noise from the neighbors, but nothing too bothersome. We felt safe and liked how centrally located we were. I’d avoid the “UnSafeway” (as is coined by the locals) that is right by the house, and go to Target or Costco which were both within 10 minutes. I recommend hitting the local farmer’s market if you get a chance. For the affordable price, you really can’t get anything better. Check in and out was a breeze and much appreciated. This will be the only place we stay when we’re in town! Thank you so much to the gracious host.

Comfy Coachman in Tacoma

My wife and i and two of our friends spent 4 terrific days with Cathy at her recently updated 4 Bedroom coachman home in Tacoma. The house is very spacious and tastefully decorated with mission style furniture. The full kitchen was well stocked and had all appliances you coud need including an air-fryer. All four bedrooms were exquisitly decoraded and themed based on a diferent artist. Each had a queen bed with luxury hotel style mattresses and linens. The bathroom was impecably clean and featured a claw-foot tub. We coulded have asked for a better location as the light rail station was a just a 10 minute walk. From there a 15 minute ride took ud to all dowtown Tacoma had to offer. By far the best vacation rental we have ever stayed at. We highly recommend it and will definitely stay with Cathy again on our next visit to Tacoma

Beautiful Bungalow

This beautifully decorated craftsman bungalow, with themed bedrooms, was a delight for our two night stay. Convenient location and just a few blocks from a grocery store. The five of us were in town for dragon boat races and were very comfortable. The owner was easily reachable and responsive. We'll be back next year!

Best Listing in Tacoma!

I utilize VRBO and others like it about once a month for work. This has absolutely been the best experience I've had yet. The house was decorated beautifully, was in a great location, was clean, the host, Cathy, was so sweet, and it's by far the best stocked property I've ever stayed in. This will be our go-to property while in the area for sure!!
