Fabulous Log Home - 2 Master Bedrooms!

This hand hewn log home has amazing mountain views and is nestled on three acres in the Winter Park Highlands neighborhood!

It is conveniently located within a few minute drive of Winter Park, Devils Thumb, Ski Granby and Grand Lake Colorado. It is a the perfect mountain retreat in the winter or summer!

This log home not only has amazing views, but the following amenities:
- two master bedrooms with king beds, two bedrooms with queen beds and a fifth bedroom with two sets of bunk beds (total of 4 twin beds),
- All bedroom have hand hewn log beds with quality mattresses and high end linens,
- Granite slab countertops in the kitchen and stainless steel appliances,
- Dining room table that comfortably seats 8 and has an additional two leaves which allows for seating of 10 to 12 people,
- Three separate "gathering areas" with TV/entertainment centers including upstairs with sectional couch, main floor and downstairs in pool table room,
- Pool table with bar/refrigerator area and television,
- Outdoor basketball hoop,
- Gas grill,
- Deck with outdoor patio furniture with seating for 6, plus bonus "upstairs" deck with table and chairs with seating for 2, and
- Single car garage

This is the perfect mountain getaway for a family reunion or vacation with friends!

Wonderful place to stay with such beautiful scenery! Everything that we needed was available for cooking and many more! Our family loved the area and the house with a beautiful balcony. We saw a moose on the first day! They have everything that you need for a great stay. Look forward to staying again!

Exactly as advertised, wonderful views, spacious and well stocked kitchen, and we really enjoyed the wood burning fireplace. Clean, comfortable and a great spot to use as a home base to ski Winter Park. Would highly recommend

This was our 5th time staying at this beautiful cabin in Tabernash. We always have every single thing we need plus some! Lorna is always readily available for any questions or concerns and quick to come up with a solution! The views and walks from the cabin are incredible! Would highly recommend!

We had such a great time! This was, by far, the best stocked Vrbo we’ve ever stayed in! The kitchen was full of everything we needed for some big family dinners, which we really appreciated! Lots of games, puzzles, stocked bathrooms, etc. It really felt like a home. The proximity to Winter Park and Grand Lake were perfect for day trips. And sunsets on the balcony were second to none! Thanks for helping make our family reunion amazing!!

Excellent Mountain Stay in Tabernash!

Our time in Lorna's cabin in Tabernash was absolutely incredible! This mountain home has it all. We had 12 people staying with us, and everyone really enjoyed themselves. We spent a lot of time on the massive deck, grilled out on the gas grill as well as several meals on the Blackstone. The views from the deck are gorgeous, offering great photo opps, as well as a very place to have your morning coffee. The kitchen is completely stocked with everything you would ever need. The bedrooms we all very comfortable , the dining room table was large enough for everyone, and we had a lot of fun playing basketball until dark, then inside playing pool for the rest of the night. Lorna, the owner was incredibly helpful the whole way through. Even when we had random questions throughout the stay, she would respond in less than 15 minutes. Off property, we were close to an amazing golf course, beautiful hikes, lakes, the Rodeo, and about 15 minutes to 2 towns in both directions. A all the way around, we will definitely be back!

Family Reunion adventure

The house overlooks the Fraser Valley and mountains and is a wonderful place to gather as a family and explore the beauty of the mountain environment, including Rocky Mountain National Park, Winterpark, Granby Lake, Grand Lake and many hiking trails. Fraser and Granby offered restaurants and grocery stores. We loved the warm and spacious Western log cabin architecture and atmosphere and the mountain view from the deck is breathtaking. It is a remote setting above Tabernash and the Fraser valley that provides a quiet and private retreat. We loved the open, well-stocked kitchen and master bedroom on the main floor. The layout of the bedrooms allowed for privacy with our adult children and the bunk room was perfect for the younger children. We loved the many amenities of the outdoor games, grills for deck cooking, many cooking supplies, TVs, movies and comfortable, classy decor. We had a wonderful stay with three generations of family.

Grand Getaway

This is a great home for a large group if you're visiting Grand County! We had mine and my sister's family with a total of 10 of us for spring break. The home is well appointed with everything you need from the kitchen to even things you wouldn't think of like shampoo & body soap in the bathrooms. The double masters and the kids bunk room were our deciding factor to choose this location after our normal rental house was no longer available and it didn't disappoint. Granby Ranch and Winter Park are so close and easy to get to along with the Frasier tubing hills. A quick run into Grand Lake is just an easy 40 minute drive too! Spectacular views and grand times are to be had here! Thank you Gunnersen family for sharing your home with us!

Amazing home with fantastic views!

This home is perfection ! We had our kids and their significant others for a total of 6 adults. the home is setup perfectly for everyone to have their own bathroom and bedroom. the kitchen is fully stocked with everything to cook for a crowd There were paper products, soaps, shampoo and conditioner in each bathroom which is a huge help when traveling from long distances. the house is beautifully decorated, the beds and linens are so comfortable! they also have games and a pool table to keep everyone busy at night. we truly enjoyed our stay here it was such a comfortable home away from home we hope to return in the future !

Stunning and comfortable Cabin in the Mountains!

This property was fantastic and was great for our group of 12 on a ski trip to Winter park. It was a quick 20-30 minute drive to the resort each morning. The wood burning fire place made the living room and kitchen very cozy, and the pool table provided plenty of excitement. We had a slight issue with getting the water heater going hut communication with the property owners was impeccable and they got it fixed super fast. The drive up the winding road was a bit tough in the winter with snow, so AWD/4WD is recommended. Every bed was super comfy and the description of fitting 12 people is very accurate. 10/10 would recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Great Log Cabin!

We had a wonderful stay at Lorna and Tom's home. Fast and efficient communication with the owners. The home itself has all the cookware and games that anyone could want. It is well laid out to accommodate at least two or three small gatherings at once. We had a great time and hope to be back!

Fantastic Winter Park getaway

Nice and spacious home for families, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, very clean, great views. Host kept in contact during our stay and made sure we had everything we needed. Suggest 4WD in winter as roads are winding and moderate grade.

Fabulous Time in the Mountains!

Had a wonderful stay at the Cabin in Tabernash! Had a few unavoidable hiccups, but they were handled quickly and easily. Beautiful mountain home with plenty of room for our group of 8. Absolutely the best stocked/equipped VRBO we have ever stayed at - And it's not even close! Fantastic amenities were as advertised. It is centrally located with short drives to Fraser, Winter Park, Granby, Grand Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are considering the area.

Middle of Everything

The location is virtually in the middle of everything you could want to do from shopping to fishing to hiking or taking ATVs on riding trails. The log homes location is also excellent for spending the day at home enjoying the solitude and the spectacular views. We had 10 in our family stay rangeing from 7 to 73 years old and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. The home is clean and supplied with everything you could need in a home. We would rate in the the top 5 of all the VRBO stays we have utilized.

Beautiful Cabin, Amazing views

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin easily for three families, 10 people total with room to spare. It was only about 15-20 from the ski areas and town. The neighborhood is a bit of a climb to get to the top where the cabin is but more than worth it. Remote with fantastic views and the cabin itself really gives you the mountain feel. Host was very responsive and gracious to us. 10/10 recommend this one if you visit Winter Park.

Fabulous, classic Colorado mountain vacation home

Group of 11 of us, some from the Front Range, some from LA, enjoyed a phenomenal family weekend away in this amazing home. Easy to relax by the fire and play games. Great kitchen to prep and cook all meals. Plenty of space to all eat together at the dining table. Easy access to Fraser (tubing) and Grand Lake (Sunday funday adventure and skating on the lake). Highly recommend the need for 4-wheel drive in the winter to get to/from the home.
