Detached villa with a magnificent terrace with a breathtaking view of Ortigia.

A 15 minute drive from the center of Ortigia, 30 minutes from Noto, one hour from Marzamemi and Scicli and 1.30 from Taormina, the villa is one of the very few villas in the area with direct access to the beach a few steps from the nature reserve of Plemmirio . The property is located in the Maddalena Peninsula area served by public transport and full of attractions, restaurants, equipped beaches and free beaches. The villa is equipped with ample parking, heating and every comfort. An independent adjoining apartment with additional two bathrooms and two bedrooms can also be rented on request.

20 minutes by car from Ortigia, 50 minutes from Noto, an hour from Marzamemi and Scicli, an hour and a half from Taormina.

The villa is one of the few in the area, very close to the natural reserve of Plemmirio.

Beware

We recently stayed at this property and, while it has great potential, our experience was disappointing due to its condition and lack of cleanliness.The exterior was run-down, which we attributed to the season, but the interior was the real issue. The home had a strong musty odor, and the cleanliness fell far below expectations. We spent two hours cleaning upon arrival to make the space livable, purchasing our own supplies to clean the kitchen and bathrooms. The floors were filthy, requiring us to wear shoes indoors, and the main bathroom had a moldy shower curtain we had to remove. The laundry room was unusable due to a dirty, foul-smelling washer and black mold.One bedroom was in such poor condition that it was uninhabitable, forcing family members to leave and disrupting our reunion. Overall, the condition of the property did not match the listing photos or description on VRBO, which was very disappointing.With updates, cleaning, and minor repairs, this property could be fantastic. Until then, we recommend caution when booking.

Beachfront

We were delighted to stay at this house across the bay from Ortigia that allowed us to sightsee without driving so long. Having access to the beach was a huge plus for resting day. The sea and the view were perfect. There's a natural reserve 10 minutes south of the house that's breathtaking. It's 1 hour away from Catania airport as well as Noto. The rooms are spacious with large windows facing the bay. Showers are small but that's to be expected in Italy. Gate in front of property is difficult to lock/unlock until you get the hang of it. Host was very responsive. We definitely recommend this house. Thank you!

Not as advertised

WE COULD NOT STAY HERE. We arrived and left within 30 minutes, very disappointed with the property. We arrived at night and it was difficult to manage our way across the dark property. There was no access without the property manager meeting us there. The place was musty and did not smell good at all. There were cobwebs. The beds were very uncomfortable. The furnishings were not as pictured. We found a lovely resort down the street. The owner gave us a partial refund. In the end, it cost me nearly $1000 to NOT STAY HERE. This was a terrible experience on an otherwise lovely trip. I recommend that you do not book this place. It is not as advertised.

Eigentlich eine Perle, aber....!

Eine Perle, ja das war es bestimmt einmal, leider etwas in die Jahre gekommen! Man muss wirklich sagen, dass die Lage mit dieser wunderschönen Terrasse fantastisch ist. Aber, wenn man einen gewissen Preis verlangt, dann ist sollte die Leistung dem entsprechen. Viele kleine Details, die eigentlich leicht ausgebessert werden könnten. Ein Anstrich, Klopapierhalter defekt und die Nägel standen heraus, Fliesen kaputt und die Ablage zum Geschirrtrocknen kann ich nicht beschreiben! Die Kissen wurden auf Anforderung gewechselt, genauso wie die Liegen auf der Terrasse. Der Immobilienagent war jedoch einsichtig und gab uns eine Rückerstattung. Sonst wären wir auch nicht dort geblieben. Die Fotos aus der Anzeige sind nicht aussagekräftig! Lassen Sie sich ein Video zeigen. Vielleicht mit WhatsApp.

Fantastic Siracusa location, a little worn

This house was great for our family of 8 (6 adults 2 children) with indoor and outdoor places to eat meals or lounge. The location on the beach and bay was INCREDIBLE! The neighborhood is also quiet and across the bay from Siracusa and Ortigia, so it took 15-20 minutes to make it to sight-seeing sites, but that was fine with us. **Personal bias: I like my house to look nice outside and in, for myself and others. So, with that in mind, this house is a little worn, mostly on the outside, and so are a couple of the immediate neighboring houses. Overall, the house functioned and we felt safe.

A little piece of paradise

The house was even better than the pictures and it was very convenient that the beach is just 1 min away. Its a vej nice Beach and also great for snorkeling. If you feel like it there are even 3-4 other branches - some within walking distance, some 5 min away with car - but very nice to be able to choose another one for some of the Daily dips😊 We were 2 kids and 4 adults in the house and we enjoyed every minue there!! The Living room is very large, airconditioned, with panoramico view over the Bay and Siracusa. We used the terrace a lot though - super panoramico view over the water and Siracusa incl. Mount ETNA in the background on clear days. There is a nice free parking space at the house with a gate you can lock if you want to. The area does not feel unsafe at all though!! We walked home from the restaurant in the dark several evenings. The owner is very nice and helpfull. Everything went very smooth - all the way from getting the keys and handing them back. There are several nice restaurants in the neighborhood where it seems like the locals from Siracusa comes to dine. Siracusa is just 20 min away by car where there are many parking options just outside the old town of Ortigia. Very recommendble - I am coming back for sure!! I already miss the many daily dips and the evenings on the terrace watching the sun set. Thank you for a wonderfull memorable week!!!😊😊🙏🏻

The best view

Beautiful setting with the most fantastic view of the bay of Syracuse and and the small beach below. Having the beach just below was wonderful, water is crystal clear. The outside areas are great with plenty of space and furniture with a large umbrella. The beds are comfortable and the air conditioning very efficient. Kitchen is bit basic, a dishwasher would be a good addition. Also a decent BBQ would be good. Although there are several local restaurants it was also lovely to buy and cook the local fish and eat on the terrace watching the stunning sunset. Tony, who managed the apartment was charming and gave us lots of information and answered any questions promptly. I would certainly return.
