The lobby, restaurant, and areas visible to guests were clean, comfortable, and appeared well-kept. Unfortunately, our room told a very different story.
The bathroom had a leaking toilet tank, with the garbage can placed under it to catch the dripping water. The shampoo and body wash dispensers that should have been attached to the wall were missing, leaving visible gunk where they used to be. There was dust and dirt in the bathroom crevices, buildup around the wet bar sink, and even white stains on the decorative pillows on the couch.
The extra bedding provided for the pullout couch didn’t smell fresh and was missing pieces. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable, which made for a poor night’s sleep.
We also went down for breakfast before closing time. There were still many guests eating, and while the back-of-house staff were friendly and cheerful, the front-of-house staff were the opposite. Rude and impatient. We were told multiple times to hurry up because breakfast was almost over, and we watched them rush other guests as well. At one point, a staff member even told a guest it wasn’t her fault the guest had “slept in.” It was very clear they just wanted to wrap up and leave, which left a bad impression.
Overall, while the common areas gave a good first impression, the condition and cleanliness of the actual room, combined with the unpleasant breakfast experience, made the stay disappointing and not one we’d recommend.
