I’m a little torn writing this, as the staff were all amazing and went above and beyond, from the front desk to maintenance… but hotel itself is really not in great shape.
The beds themselves were very clean and comfortable. Lobby was great. But the carpet in the room and throughout the hotel was pretty gross. Like blue/grey stains, super colorful paint stains? And just too many dark stains to feel comfortable in socks in the room.
The bathroom smelled of vinegar, not cleaner, just vinegar & the light over the sink was barely on. Maintenance did come quickly to resolve some issues (beeping safe, and broken drawer that wouldn’t close), and extra pillows were delivered quickly as well.
Our regular hotel options were full this weekend due to a tournament and so I picked this one over other’s available due to the pool. But that was a mistake: Theres rust everywhere (not in the pool itself), peeling paint and rusty doors. My kids went in the pool and the water was extremely cloudy, they didn’t want to stay long. The shower didn’t work and almost came out of the wall. The pool area was really dark overall.
Unfortunately, I just don’t think the place warrants the price I paid, $245 total Plus pet fee.
The breakfast was nice to have, I’d suggest sticking to toast and cereal.
I do think if they renovate it will be a great option in Sydney, as the staff is really great. Just need to bring the quality of the hotel up or bring the price down and know what you’re getting.
