"Do not EVER STAY at Holiday Inn Express in Gatlinburg. One of our worst experiences ever at any hotel we’ve ever been to. So many things I can’t even list them all but most importantly was the fact we were charged over three times the amount of what our actual rate was for our stay and they charged our card that amount three times. "Not a bad stay but may try a different hotel next time. Service was good. Hotel is clean and nicely updated but our room smelled like a men’s locker room full of dirty socks. We were only staying one night so not a big deal but it was surprising since the rest of the hotel seemed recently remodeled. "I seldom complete reviews but the stark contrast between the attractiveness of this hotel and room (balcony, hot tub, fireplace) and the comfort of the mattress was stark. After hiking over 14 miles in the mountains, the mattress still felt like sleeping on the ground. I expect a better mattress from Hilton."
