Paddleboards Included! Lakefront Home with Fire Pit, Hot Tub and Dock

Hideaway Cove is a picture-perfect lakeside retreat! Located along Carmel Cove, the waters here are quiet and serene, perfect for early morning kayak rides, boating around the lake, or morning coffee out on the dock. This charming A-frame cabin evokes the comfortable feeling of home with it's open concept design and bright windows. It's easy to stay connected with your whole family here, whether you are enjoying dinner at the large dining table, barbecuing out of the back deck, roasting marshmallows on the fire pit, or laughing with loved ones out on the hot tub. For fun and adventure mixed with rest and relaxation, look no further than Hideaway Cove!

Sleeping Arrangements: 2 king beds, 1 queen bed, and one queen sleeper sofa in the upstairs loft.

Location Highlights: When you decide it's time to explore the lake area, you are only minutes away from some of the best spots on the lake, like the nearby Wine Cellar at Deep Creek Lake and Deep Creek Lake State Park, as well at the Dutch's at Silver Tree steak and seafood restaurant and outside Harbor Bar. Wisp Resort is only 15 minutes away!

**Boating Advisory: Two important things to note 1) Due to variable water levels and a low bridge into the cove entrance, some boating restrictions apply. Most pontoons or speed boats with towers cannot be docked at the home (especially hard-top pontoons). You may not be able to get the pontoon under the bridge to access the cove and the home's dock. Luxury Tritoon boats that can go under this bridge and be used at this home are available for rent through Red Barn Vacation's exclusive partnership with Marine Plus. Ask us for more information on these rental boats. 2) The owners keep their boat docked in the center slip.That boat is not available for renter use. Renters may dock boats on either side of the dock, without a problem. **

Red Barn Vacations are the property managers for this home … excellent group! The house was extremely clean, lake view with a very short walk to our dock. Great place. Communication with Red Barn was great starting days before our trip to the very last day of our stay… offering assistance about the home, area attractions and adventures, along with suggestions on places to eat. Would definitely stay again.

Quiet Community

Quiet home nestled in a wooded community. Limited view of the water, though short walk to it/the dock. Easy drive to attractions and restaurants. Nice that the home has kayaks, paddleboards and other water activities. Great place for a family with teenagers.

Cozy Getaway

Hideaway Cove is a nice property for a weekend getaway! We enjoyed the close proximity to the lake, hot tub and firepit. Only recommendation would be to improve the quantity and quality of kitchen cookware.

Can’t beat the location

House was good and you can’t beat the location. Watch the driveway if you have a boat. It’s pretty steep and there is no way to turn around at the bottom with a trailer. Just plan ahead and have somewhere to park the trailer. I think the rental company offered their parking lot if you ask them.

Management group was great to work with

The management group was great to work with, but it was disappointing getting switched to a different house at the last minute, as we were looking forward to a clear view of the lake and our own docks. It was out of the control of the management group and they did a great job in finding us another place to stay in such a short period of time.

Cold and rainy, not ideal weather

The home was clean comfortable and welcoming. The rain probably contributed but the first level felt damp. When the weather permitted we enjoyed the outdoor space. Unfortunately we could not take advantage of the paddle boards and kayaks due to the weather and our rental boat was not allowed in the cove which was inconvenient.

The house definitely needs some upgrading and carpets are very dirty. The basement smelled very musty. The 3 de- humidifiers were all full of water. Porch lights were burned out. Inside house lights are burned out. Good location to the dock and lake.

A beautiful home on the shores of Deep Creek Lake

This was a lovely house, right on the lake in a quiet neighborhood. We were able to kayak right from the dock. The kitchen was well equipped, the towels fluffy, the furniture and beds comfortable. The house was a little sterile feeling - not a lot of wall decorations or knick knacks. And not so much as a salt and pepper shaker provided so you really did have to bring all of your supplies if you were cooking anything. My only real complaint is the cost. The nightly rental charge was reasonable, but the "host fees" caught me off guard. I've never had to pay that much in fees for any other VRBO rental, and it was the same for all VRBO places I looked at in the area. And for all that money, they would only give us an early check in for another $125 which I thought was unreasonable.
