Our cottage is very well equipped amid of all the attractions of the south/south-west part of Iceland located very close to the Atlantic Ocean. The cottage is on a private ground with total privacy. The living room has a 42" Smart TV with Netflix accounts. Free WiFi. On the terrace is a lovely jacuzzi hot tub with massage, great place to enjoy the northern lights. 60 minutes’ drive to KEF Airport. Distance to some interesting attractions.

IN THE VERY CLOSE AREA OF THE COTTAGE
-700 mtr walk to the beach and Atlantic Ocean of Selvogur. “Selvogur” means Seals Bay. Interesting wild live of seals and birds to see there.
-The popular and famous Church Strandarkirkja has a remarkable history, 1 km distance.

-The Selvogur lighthouse 2 km distance (recommend walking the last 1 kilometer) .
-Herdisarvik is 5 minutes drive.

DRIVE TO THE WEST
- 60 minutes drive to KEF Airport.
-The Volcano area in Fagradalsfjall is 25 minutes’ drive and you add extra 10 minutes to drive to the ocean town of Grindavik.
-Seltún, the great geothermal area is 25 minutes’ drive. Don´t miss Seltun.
-Reykjanesviti is in 60 minutes distance and there are so many famous attractions on the Reykanes peninsula see following web link;

Heerlijke vakantie aan de zeehondenbaai
Knus vakantiehuisje vlakbij de oceaan. Als je op de dijk bij het circa 1 km verder gelegen Strandarkirkja staat zie je rechts de zeehonden zonnebaden en als je een stukje verder loopt kan je ze van dichtbij observeren. Het is heerlijk toeven in dit huisje met een serre aan de zonkant en ook in de jacuzzi is het genieten. Vanuit deze locatie is veel moois van IJsland makkelijk te bereiken en vergeet vooral niet het indrukwekkende gebied Meradalir van de laatste vulkaanuitbarsting te bezoeken.

Cozy House in a Beautiful Setting
Stefan's summer home is situated beautifully between ocean and mountain. It feels very connected to the ocean, which is accessed via a path a short walk down the road, and Reykjavik, 45 minutes away, and is a good spot from which to explore the Southern Coast. Stefan is a friendly and accomodating host -very responsive and helpful when needed.

Tolles Haus
Es ist ein herziges, kleines Haus, ideal für 4 Personen. Haben mit den Kindern das Zimmer mit 2 Matratzen oben genutzt, für kleinere Kinder wohl eher nicht so gut, da nur mit einer Leiter zugänglich. Wohnzimmer für 4 Personen eher klein, dafür gemütlich. Die Lage ist sehr gut, nur wenige Gehminuten vom Strand entfernt, wo wir bei der Kirche Strandarkirkja jeden Tag Robben gesehen haben (sicher saisonabhängig, wir hatten Glück). Die Kinder waren begeistert. Auch ein Ausflug nach Reyjkavik ist gut machbar und am Abend haben wir den tollen Whirlpool genossen. Ein Auto ist ein muss, grössere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten knapp 20 Minuten entfernt. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet, toller und unkomplizierter Kontakt mit den Eigentümern und wunderschön in der Natur, umgeben von Pferden und mit einem kleinen Spielplatz für die Kinder (konnten sich bei gutem Wetter draussen austoben). Würden sofort wieder kommen und vermissen schon heute die Einsamkeit und schöne Umgebung des Hauses. Vielen Dank

Sceniskt läge vid havet. Bekvämt och Harmoniskt boende.,
Vi hyrde huset i tio dagar och gjorde utflykter. Tonåringarna på loftet hade det bekvämt och trots stugans litenhet känns det aldrig trångt tack vare de fantastiska glasytorna och den inglasade verandan där morgonkaffet kan avnjutas i alla väder. Havsutsikt med horisont och vidd, fjället åt andra hållet. Oerhört fridfullt boende att både utgå ifrån för strövtåg över heden, och göra utflykter på södra Island. Fantastiskt att komma hem på kvällen, laga lite mat och ta ett dopp i utomhuspoolen och se den långsamma solnedgången över havet. Superfräscht, bekväma sängar, välfungerande kök. Enda nackdelen är möjligen läget, det tar lite längre tid än man kan tro att åka på de Islänska vägarna. För den som söker ett boende utanför Reykjavik för att göra rundtur Golden Cirkel, rida, besöka Blue Lagoon, och de andra södra utflyktsmålen är det helt perfekt. Eller om man kommer Österifrån och vill uppleva fiskebåtarnas charm? Eller som egen upplevelse, -en mycket vacker plats!

Nice Place
This Place is a very nice stay! Its In a quiet area and close to the ocean with a nice view. The house itself is cozy and the host was pretty nice, he even prepared a champagne to celebrate new year. He was always friendly and the communication in case of questions worked well. The Whirlpool is such a nice extra, which makes the evenings of your stay special. For six grownups, it could be a little growded but its possible and we enjoyed it! I would definitly recommend it and maybe well come back some other time again!
