Suttons Bay Sunshine is a delightful upper-level duplex situated in the charming Village of Suttons Bay. (Lower unit is occupied by long-term guests.) With three cozy bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms, it’s just right for a small family or a group of friends looking for a getaway. You’ll love the quaint sitting area outside complete with a gas grill, perfect for enjoying the fresh air.

This peaceful neighborhood is only a few blocks away from wonderful dining, shopping, and beautiful beaches, so you can enjoy everything without needing to drive! The Leelanau Trail, stretching from Suttons Bay to Traverse City, is ideal for cycling, walking, or running along a safe, paved path. Plus, guests can take advantage of fantastic amenities, including a grill, a lovely deck, a grassy lawn, and an inviting outdoor dining area with a table and chairs.

You’ll be just 5 minutes from the serene Lake Leelanau, 15 minutes from the charming towns of Leland and Northport, and 20 minutes from bustling Traverse City. Don't forget to explore the nearby Sleeping Bear Dunes and the many amazing hiking trails in the area. This cozy home, combined with its wonderful surroundings, offers a truly unbeatable experience.

The rental was great for 5 of us. Walking distance to Sutton's Bay, close to Hop Lot and other wineries/cideries. Be careful, even if you book with VRBO the management company makes you sign their rental agreement with the management company and you open yourself up to additional liability. Pickleball courts and disc golf nearby. Although it says there's only 2 parking spaces, there's TONS of street parking outside the house. We would definitely stay here again.

A very nice an convenient place to stay. Property is very clean. Groundskeepers live in the duplex below the rental, but for the four days we stayed we didn't hear them once. The kitchen is nice and roomy if you want the option to cook a meal or two on vacation. Location is excellent for walking access to Suttons Bay and short driving distance to either Glen Arbor, Traverse City, or any of the attractions like wineries and scenic overlooks/walks in between.

Clean tastefully decorated home just a block off Main Street. Loved the location and all the little things done right to make our 3 night stay seamless. Definitely would recommend. Quiet safe neighborhood as well. Minutes from Leelanau Trail!

Up North Family Getaway

Well stocked kitchen, clean bathrooms with nice towels, large main living room, and comfortable beds. Vrbo listing shows water views. This property is a ten minute walk to the beach and waterfront. Short walk to shopping and dining. Enjoyed our stay!

Brief stay with elderly parents

Beautiful property exactly as described in listing. We were ever so comfortable during our stay. My parents, in their 90’s were very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need for cooking.

Shared space?

We woke up one morning to a woman in our kitchen. She lived downstairs and was trying to get into the garage to get her car. She said this was the only access? And cannot park anywhere else. The same couple living downstairs, on many occasions we experienced them lurking around the property. A very uneasy feeling. Would recommend to the owners to make it clear to renters that the downstairs renters have access to the rental property.

Sunshine cottage was cute clean close to everything. Great food beach wineries golf course We have family on Lake Leelanau just a few miles away. Fishtown best chowder !The couple that lives below are sweet . Highly recommend staying here. The Heltons

House clean, comfortable, upgraded linens, and furniture—nice touch. House was well stocked with everything we needed. Property really conveniently located—It’s about a 10 minute walk to beach and not more than 20 minute drive to Traverse City and other quaint towns along coast.

Spacious and convenient location

Loved our stay at this spacious home in a quiet neighborhood within easy walking distance to shops/restaurants and the Leelanau Trail. Kitchen was very well stocked for meal preparation and deck was a great place to relax. Would definitely stay again!

Great location but communication was unpleasant

The property is in a great, walkable location, it was clean, and the beds were comfortable. However, I found that the communication left by the host was not very pleasant. The literature in the home reminded us MULTIPLE times to be quiet for the tenants downstairs, it seemed a little overkill. Also I received multiple texts to roll the garbage can to the curb even though my family hadn't put any garbage in it, and one of them threatened that we would be fined if we didn't roll the can to the curb, and I was wondering why the tenants that lived there couldn't take care of rolling their trash themselves. The drier didn't work, we were informed by the downstairs tenant (who by the way was very nice), but I wondered why the host didn't tell us that since clearly she was aware. Also, instead of having any tourist brochures, there was an extensive inventory of every artwork, dish, utensil, and linen and I got the impression it was to warn us not to steal anything. The literature said we had to leave the house as clean as we found it and that we needed to clean throughout our stay there. It all was a little too much! We have rented dozens of vacation homes, have a 5-star rating on airband, and have never experienced communication like this from a host.

Good choice in a good location

This house has 3 comfortable bedrooms, a well stocked kitchen and attractive decorations. The yard offers multiple chairs to sit under large shady trees, although the street is busier than expected. And you can walk to just about everything in lovely Suttons Bay. The management company is easy to work with.

Suttons Bay was adequate. Three simple bedrooms a kitchen and living space. Clean. The chefs knife was returned to the knife rack with some sort of jelly on the handle. Certainly not the end of the world but indicates the cleaning lacks some attention to detail. What else was "skipped"? We need to press a couple of suits for a wedding. Ironing board - no iron. Washing machine - no dryer. Check out instructions state wash the dishes, dry, and return to cupboard. No dishwasher detergent. Why are we paying for cleaning if we have to do the dishes. Nice envelope for tipping the cleaning person was not neglected, however.
