Chalet Cardinal, private pool and lonely beaches

Chalet Cardinal is a modern Beachfront Bungalow in southern Mauritius, 45 minutes from the airport. the house is ideally situated in a very quiet and relaxing environment, with private garden and swimming pool in front.
Location
Chalet Cardinal is on a grand property next to Chalet Kestrel on the beach in the vicinity of Riambel with absolutely stunning views on the ocean. Both Bungalows are separated by a wooden fence, so to each keep their privacy.
The house is not only 20 min away from the famous Kitespot ‘One Eye’ in Le Morne, but also near to the spot to swim with the Dolphins, equally other water sports.
Restaurants as well as shops are within 5 – 10 minutes’ drive.
The Beach is without a doubt one of the longest and less inhabited of the Island and therefore perfect for long walks in total peace.

Enjoy the serenity of the modern Bungalow of 90m2, which caters up to 5 people! Chalet Cardinal is located in Riambel, in the south of Mauritius, indeed perfect for those seeking an authentic experience far away from the crowds. Thus, the beach in front of the house is deserted most of the time. The access to the beach is direct through a private gate.
Our Guests say that Chalet Cardinal is absolutely a little paradise ….Shake off the sand in the outdoor shower when coming from the beach and relax in the hammock to enjoy the tranquillity while you listen to the sound of the waves and the wind going through the palm trees.
The shallow end of the pool offers integrated seating and is ideal for reading a book in the cooling water.
Whereas, the property is fenced, it is to be noted that the pool is not and can be a potential danger for small kids. Nonetheless we have a pool alarm and we can mount the device for you prior to arrival.
Rooms
Bedroom 1
The first room opens up to the terrace and offers stunning views over the pool and ocean while it is nicely equipped with a large double bed, A/C, ensuite bathroom including shower, W.C. As well as TV satellite channels, stereo.
Bedroom 2
The second room equally contains a large double bed, ensuite bathroom with shower, A/C, a TV, stereo and an additional single bed for a child.
Whereas the kitchen is well equipped, the Chalet is well furnished too plus it has high speed internet in all areas, likewise on terrace and around the pool.
On the terrace is an outdoor dining area, barbecue along with sun-beds and the swimming pool, all to yourself, non is shared .
Service
A housemaid comes daily except Sundays and public holidays to clean (service included). She may prepare dishes at an additional rate. Furthermore, a cook and masseur are also available for a small fee.
Surroundings
The region is clealy unspoiled by tourism, you will find beautiful beaches, untouched nature and small local villages.
There are plenty Activities nearby
such as Horseback riding on the beach; in fact, the stables are at 5 minutes’ walk that’s why on some days, you’ll see the horses passing by in front of the house.
Equally, you launch your Kite in front of Chalet Cardinal and surf in the huge lagoon at high tide if you bring your own material; Alternatively, you can kite and hire the equipment in the nearby hotels. Snorkelling and Diving are possible too.
Apart from water sport, there is much more to do in the area, namely, Tyrolean or quad biking, Golf at Bel Ombre or Le Morne ..
Besides, the Rochester Falls in 4km, Gris Gris at 10 min by car, La Vanille Nature Parc 5km, The Rhum Distillery of Chamarel 10km.
Not to be missed, the Vortex, where energy is said to be concentrated at 1,4km. And finally Le Morne with its fantastic water-sport facilities at half an hour.
We arrange swimming with the Dolphins and whale watching depending on the season.
Local restaurants are at 1km away, just as the first shop. A larger supermarket is at 10 minutes by car.
Transport
Taxis are available any time, also the bus during the day. However we recommend hiring a car, because it is the best way to visit the Island.
