Remodeled oceanfront home

Enjoy a renovated OCEANFRONT luxury duplex with amazing 270 degree south-facing views for all day sun on the beach! This family-friendly and immaculate home boasts an open main level with living/dining space, a renovated kitchen, and main level queen bedroom. This versatile floor plan includes a 2nd floor with master suite with oceanfront views and two additional well-appointed bedrooms. The kitchen features granite countertops, tile backsplash, newer appliances, and is well stocked with every gadget and utensil needed to prepare large meals or accommodate take-out from the many restaurants on the island.

Sit on the covered deck and watch the sun rise and set over the sparkling water. The house is positioned closer to the dunes and ocean than the neighboring houses for unobstructed views up and down the island. Watch the kids play on the beach from the deck or the many ocean-view windows in the house.

Enjoy an evening walk on the beach to multiple restaurants on the island serving fresh seafood, steaks and refreshing island drinks. Have dessert at the local ice cream shop before heading back for a relaxing night listing to the ocean surf.

Holden Beach is a quiet, family-friendly beach recognized as a top beach by USA Today and a top-10 beach by National Geographic Traveler’s Magazine. There are no hotels or high-rise complexes, just family owned cottages. Holden Beach is part of the barrier island chain in southeastern NC and is also located approximately 35 miles from Wilmington, NC and Myrtle Beach, SC -- making trips for shopping, eating and entertaining very convenient. Holden Beach is also well-situated for 30 area golf courses.

We love our “home away from home,” and our family has spent many years enjoying all that Holden has to offer. We would love for you to choose to spend your vacation time at our property. Renting directly from the owner may be new to you (through VRBO), but we enjoy helping our renters plan the perfect vacation and that will exceed your expectations.

Great location. Bathrooms were small and need updating. Other than towels and sheets (which we paid for), nothing else is provided (.i.e. toilet paper, paper towels, dish or bath soap, etc.) not even one to start with. No access to beach/back of house except through the house. Had to carry beach chairs, tent, etc. through house to get to back. Neighbors were loud all day and late into the night (not owners fault).

Parking area under home needed some work. Didn’t like that there was no access to the beach without going through the home. Wi-Fi works great downstairs on main level but had to use Hotspot on phone in the upstairs bedrooms. Overall pleased with the stay, beautiful home.

Holden Our Hearts

Our family had a wonderful week stay in Holden! The location was ideal for our family, as the youngest and oldest members were able to take easy breaks from the beach for naps and meals. We loved the porch and made dinner almost every night in the well stocked kitchen. There were very small issues, like a clogged drain, that were handled immediately and with great care. We are looking forward to future stays!

Excellent property, no issues

Great location, property was in excellent shape, kitchen was well stocked, clear instructions. Only minor issue was the property manager was usually slow to respond to questions. But there weren’t any real issues, so that didn’t really hurt anything. Overall a great stay!

This is our 3rd stay at this location on Holden Beach. We noticed new furniture in all of the bedrooms which was a nice update. Kitchen is very well stocked and beds are comfy. It's a nice, clean, updated place and perfect location. Already planning our stay again for next year! Thanks!

The best property!!

This property is an absolute gem and Andy and Jason couldn’t have been more helpful! The check in process was seamless and the details in the living spaces were perfect- we went with my parents who are retired and our kids under the age of 4 and the property was well equipped for all of us. We spent all day at the beach and our nights consisted of sitting on the outdoor porch rockers and watching the sunset. We couldn’t have loved it more!

Beautiful home - few issues though…

Positives:Close to beach, shortest walk from back deck to ocean that I have ever experienced at HB (Great for kids and elderly).Beautiful home, well-furnished, and a very nice experience with friends of ours who stayed in other half of duplex.Owner was good to work with through the booking process. Negatives:You cannot lock the back door when you go to the ocean - No key provided. It is important that you know who is staying in the other half of the duplex because they can walk in at anytime you are at the beach. No outdoor shower. No way to access the front of the house to the back without going through the house. This was problematic when we rented a kayak. You have 2 options: trespass on neighbors beach access or take it through the house. Same applies with your beach gear to your vehicle. You have to take it through the house.Smart TV’s throughout - way too complicated for elderly guests. My kids even struggled a bit.Thermostat - it stayed cold in the house. This was difficult for elderly guests. You cannot adjust the thermostat. *The “negatives” are not deal breakers. We would stay here again and would recommend to others. But you should know these things to plan accordingly.

Great budget friendly beach house

Property owner is extremely nice and not super strict. It’s so convenient having a sprayer on the back deck to rinse off before coming into the house. Having the laundry area out back is also very nice to rinse off sandy clothes and towels, then wash. The house was extremely spacious and packed beach character. I would definitely stay here again. The tvs had a difficult time working when we wanted to hangout at the house, but overall the experience was good!

Really enjoyed the porch because of a great view of the beach while sitting under a roof. Kitchen was well stocked including a blender and steak knives (we usually have to bring our own). Beds were comfortable. Living area/kitchen was just right for 5 adults.

Great family house

The property was great. Small issue with wifi. Little or no wifi on side of duplex without the router. Also would have liked to had a least one full length mirror in unit. Other than these small issues had a great time. Loved the location with small drive times to stores, grocery and restaurants. Thanks.

Comfy times on Holden Beach

Great location right on beach, comfortable for 3 couples and 2 kids in the 4 BRs. Parking for 3 cars. Ample cooking equipment and plastic containers for leftovers was a nice touch. Beach is nice for walking and not crowded. There was another family in the other VRBO side and that was no problem at all, just share stairs and walkout to beach.

Wedding Weekend

We spent a fabulous 5 days, the house was amazing, we rented one side and the brides family rented the other side and everything was perfect! The house is so beautiful, the house has everything we needed! Cannot wait to return, actually I did not want to leave!

Ladies at the Beach

We had a girls weekend and had a great time. The condo is right on the beach, which is what we wanted and we loved that. There were four of us, so we each got our own bedroom. We had an issue with the coffee maker, but it was replaced by the property managers that morning. (Which you know was important!). We would stay there again. There was very little traffic, which was great, since we've been to the beach in Florida that had horrible traffic. The only advice I would give to future renters is to read the suggested packing list. There truly is nothing there to use: no shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc. Bring all your own things!

Girls beach vacation

The property is right on the beach which was perfect for walks on the beach as well as sunrises and sunsets. There was plenty of space for the 5 of us. It is a duplex which isn't mentioned in the description.

Excellent place!

Very clean property. One of the best houses I’ve stayed in over the years at the beach. Loved the view and how open the living area was. So nice to have space and plenty of bathrooms for the whole family. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful stay

We were a family with 8 people including a 1 year old and a 5 year old. The property was very clean and included lots of kitchen supplies (bowls, pans, knives, utensils, etc). It also had several baby gates which we appreciated. It's not huge but was plenty of space for us. The ocean view was unbeatable. It's a 3 minutes drive to Holden Beach activities/restaurants. This area doesn't have tons of options for food/activities but it was enough for us. Good communication also.

Beautiful location

The view and location is amazing. We absolutely loved Holden Beach and this house was very nice for 6 people. The bathrooms are a little tight, but other than that, it’s perfect.
