"I booked a stay at the Garden Street Inn last week, and it was such a lovely experience. I took the Amtrak in and arrived a couple of hours before check-in, but they kindly allowed me to check in early, which was incredibly convenient. The staff was warm, welcoming, and very accommodating throughout my stay. I stayed in the “Ah Louis” room, which was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The bathroom was nice and featured a large bathtub, which was a great bonus. I've never been to San Luis Obispo...

"Beautiful property. Great location. Very clean and modern. My only complaint is the price for valet a night ($45) and the incidental cost a night ($125), seems a bit steep for a hotel in SLO. Nonetheless, there is a public parking building kitty corner from the property for $16 a night. "

"Breakfast is good. Plenty of eggs and yogurts. The hair conditioner in the bathroom was empty though. It’s late night and I was in a shower so it’s not convenient to make a request. "

"I did not use the hot tub or swimming pool, the breakfast was good . The room was terrible - last time it redone was probably the early 2000. The heat took forever to come on and the sink was plugged the whole time there. The carpet was terrible . I could not wait to leave and I left a day early . I lost money . "

"Close to downtown SLO, very close to freeway entrance, some restaurants close by. Parking is decent. Property is dated. We stayed in a 3 bedroom family suite that was a converted 2 bedroom apartment. Couch had two big holes in it. Hairdryer in bathroom did not work. Beds were okay."

"Absolutely enchanting spot to relax and recharge while traveling. Our room was spacious and so adorably decorated. It felt as if we were staying with a beloved aunt. The coffee and tea bar was lovely. Pool and hot tub were clean and comfortable. My daughter loved the pool toys. It seemed like the lovely accommodations made all guests friendly and considerate. We will definitely return."
