Pelican Hub, a beach house in beautiful Sunset Beach, 1 block from beach access!

Lovely 4 bedroom 2 bath beach house located on the the desirable west end of Sunset Beach, NC. Voted as a top 10 beach by National Geographic, you will not be disappointed with the miles of white sand beach, undulating dunes and large bird sanctuary. A short block(2-3 minute walk to beach ACCESS and then a short walk on the access( another 3 or so minutes) and your toes are in the sand. The island is bike friendly and there are miles of marshes to explore by kayak or boat. Add to that, several world class golf courses are nearby within several miles. Restaurants, shops and grocery stores are a short drive located just over the bridge. Calabash, a quaint shrimping village, is a short 5 mile drive and abounds with vintage stores, art galleries and restaurants, not to mention picturesque Little River.
The home is decorated with your comfort and enjoyment in mind. Relax on one of the many decks and enjoy the incredible sunset views Sunset Beach is famous for. An outdoor screened room with a seating area including a hammock and well as a dining table adds to the living space, perfect for relaxing or enjoying an al fresco meal. A gas grill is conviently located near the screened room. Two ceiling fans keep the room pleasant on those warm summer days. Indoors, the house has 4 private bedrooms. The large master has a king bed with memory foam, seating area, large closet and private deck. Two bedrooms have queen beds and private deck each. The fourth bedroom has two twins which can convert to a king and a twin bed daybed. The Kitchen is fully appointed and the casual, tasteful decor will insure a pleasant vacation experience. Keurig coffeemaker and coffee pods supplied.

We most appreciated that we were able to schedule our week to have an entire weekend for family to join us. Beautiful decorated home with some extra amenities though a few small things were lacking. We do realize that it was late in the season so things could have disappeared. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Great beach chairs awesone beach cart which was great for our beach days They had 4 bikes in good condition. The linens included are amazing. The screened in covered porch on 2nd level was great but when raining you cant sit out there without getting wet from above. That was a bit of a bummer. Master bedroom upstairs has the washer and dryer. Some cabinets in kitchen and dresser in bedroom could use updating. Otherwise enjoyed location and house and had a great time

Loved our second visit to Pelican Hub!

Fabulous location so close to the peacefulness of Bird Island. Very manageable one block walk to the beach access. We enjoyed both screened porches this year - wonderful sunset views from the back porch. Kitchen is well-stocked. We appreciated the adult bikes and the beach chairs and wagon. We had a wonderful week at Pelican Hub and will look forward to another visit!

The location was good, the house is situated on the end of street so only had a house on one side of us. And the upper level screened in porch is on that side too making it a good place for viewing the sunset and enjoying morning coffee.I left my purse on kitchen table at check out and the host was quick to make arrangements for me to get it back.

Quick walk to the beach and comfy accommodations!

Super beautiful area, fairly quick walk to the sand, and the beds were comfortable! Only constructive criticism i’d offer is that a lot of the chairs, indoor and outdoor and the dining table were super duper creaky. Chalked it up to the salty air and use but would be nice if that could be updated or fixed. We would 100% stay again and are looking into it already for next year!

Amazing place to stay

We’ve stayed at a lot of different beaches in NC and SC and this is one of our favorites so far. The neighborhood was so nice and quiet! Absolutely stunning scenery and the house felt very comfortable. The walk to the beach was very doable and the cart definitely helped make things easier to carry; with two children, you amass a lot of gear quickly! Ha. We are already talking about coming back next year. Thank you for sharing your lovely home at this fantastic beach. This beach is my number one from now on for kids; extremely wide and very gently sloping made for awesome boogie boarding. Hoping to be back next year!!

Family and Friends One Last Hurrah

We enjoyed this cute cozy cottage esp. w/a stocked kitchen, bikes/beach chairs/sand toys and comfy beds. The walk to a nice beach access was longer than expected, and unfortunately lots of rain made us unable to use the multiple outside porches. The owners were very responsive when we had a few issues.

Met our needs well.

We stayed to attend a family beach wedding. We didn’t spend much time at the house, but very functional for our needs to sleep, shower, and eat breakfast. Dad loved the screened porch and the bikes were helpful!

Great Cottage in a great spot

We have stayed here multiple times of the last several years. We love the homey feel of this cottage. We appreciate the recent updates. Owners are easy to communicate with. We love being on the corner between 40th walkway and the Marsh areas. We are booked for next summer already.

Chisholm Family Summer Vacation

This is our third year staying at Pelican Hub and to say the least, we love it! The gorgeous beach is only a short walk away, and the house is perfectly designed to accommodate a family of various ages. There’s plenty of room for relaxing in the spacious living room, third floor deck, second floor screened in porch and first floor veranda. Can’t say enough about this fantastic place! Looking forward to our trip back here next Summer.

We loved our week at Pelican Hub!

The location was wonderful, close to Bird Island, with the handy beach access. We loved the outside spaces - the screened porch on the back and the deck above were wonderful - and the family room was spacious. The bikes were a fun addition for our week. The host was extremely responsive and took care of the one issue that we had very quickly. We will plan a return visit!

Sunset Beach

This was the most amazing beach vacation I have ever had in all my 52 years. The house was spacious and comfortable, the host answered any questions kindly and promptly. We walked to the beach everday. It was an absolute joy to stay in this home in this sweet town.

Labor Day 2023

My Family and I loved staying here for the week of Labor Day. Short walk to the beach and very spacious home with great comforts. We will deff be back again in the future and would recommend this home to anyone looking for a great place to stay at Sunset!
