A Beautiful contemporary house in a quiet location with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms .
Ideal for family get togethers or special occasions .The house Is set in over an acre of land and has been designed to take full advantage of its beautiful location with lots of light , and views over the surrounding countryside.
Spacious communal areas make it ideal for entertaining.There is a formal dining room for that special evening and we can even arrange a private chef to come in and take all the hassle out of preparing that special meal . They’ll even clean up .. There are lots of walks locally, many directly from the house
Many local attractions within an hour of the property
Longleat, Stonehenge ,Stourhead , Montacute House and The Haynes Motor Museum are all well under an hour away.
Bournemouth and Poole under 1 hour , and the wonders Jurassic coast an hours drive.
The Jurassic coast,Studland, Swanage ,Bournemouth, Poole , Bath , Salisbury and the New Forest are all about an hour away.
Kingston Lacy House is one of many National Trust properties within striking distance.
Less than 2 hours by train from London into Gillingham Station , which is 10 mins from the House.




The local pub is a 35 minute walk away.
Ideally situated for the Jurassic coast,Bournemouth, Poole,Stonehenge, Stourhead ,and many more National Trust properties nearby.

The house is large with modern decor and very well appointed. The kitchen/dining room looking out onto the landscape was so comfortable we didn’t use the sitting room! It’s on a quiet village road that almost feels like open countryside.”

wonderful family weekend

We wanted somewhere which would accommodate myself, husband, 3 sons and daughters-in-law and a 3 year old grandson for a long weekend and we really got lucky with Lesley and John's house! The best rental property we have ever stayed in. Beautifully decorated, clean, well equipped - can't think of anything we couldn't find - so much space for the 9 of us that we didn't feel cramped at any point. Lovely that everyone had beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms and we also made the most of the huge gardens and BBQ. Lesley was wonderful to deal with and contacted me before to see if there was anything we needed for our stay. She and John met us at the house and showed us around and she also messaged me during the weekend to see if we were okay. Great location for visiting a variety of places including the coast. House is even better than the photos! Thank you Lesley and John for allowing us to share your beautiful home. Can't recommend highly enough!

Gorgeous house, responsive and helpful owner, perfect for our group

We were there for a weekend as a group of 6 friends so the number of bedrooms and bathrooms was critical.But a wonderful, huge and light kitchen diner with a separate lounge and dining room gave us all plenty of space to hang out in. At owners suggestion, we booked an outside caterer for a meal the night we arrived which proved an inspired idea.A perfect base for our weekend.

Just Fabulous

What a brilliant place! Excellent communication from the owner, Lesley, from the start. Couldn't have been more helpful and gave us some great local recommendations as well. House is incredibly spacious and immaculate. And having the garden to sit in and explore, also a treat. High recommend.

Girls weekend

We booked to stay at Lesley’s house as a group of 10. We spent most of the time in the lovely garden drinking wine and bbq-ing! The house is spotless and recently decorated. The beds were comfy and very roomy if sharing! Thanks Lesley for a lovely weekend away. It’s just what we all needed!

Excellent Christmas stay

What 'sold' the property for us was the large open space kitchen: it has both lots of equipment (2 ovens, microwave, 5 units induction hob, lots of worktop space etc) to prepare a full Christmas meal for a group of 10 as well as lots of comfortable space for most of us to sit/relax while cooking is in progress. This meant we didn't split the group as much as other property choices we looked at. The large living room was big enough to have 10 people at the same time and has a smart tv so if you want, you can still watch ‘your’ Netflix, Amz Prime, Disney+ etc. Bed rooms are all (very) large and beds/quilts are very comfortable (note that the two bedrooms on first floor have areas with reduced headroom, but that was generally not a big problem, even for a 6’1” person). There is also ample space to park cars (you could park 5 – 6 cars easily?). All beds had good quality linen and towels. Finally, the owners were good in communicating before our stay as well as at time of departure. This ensured a smooth arrival as well as departure. Easiest ‘recommendation’ I have made on websites like this… Many thanks to L and J... :-))

Beautiful, stylish comfortable house, ideal for our family weekend get-together

We stayed int this beautiful house for the weekend as my daughter was getting married nearby. The house was very clean and comfortable and extremely well equipped. Beautiful big garden with BBQ and Plenty of garden furniture for the whole family. It was the perfect house for to stay for our special weekend. I'm so pleased that we found it

Beautiful Home

I found this stunning house for me and my friends to stay in over the August bank holiday weekend - we were all happy with the location and privacy that comes with the house! The pictures don't do it justice, decorated so beautifully and plenty of space to be social. The garden was perfect to sit in the sun and play a few games, as well as having everything we could or would need throughout our stay inside. It was lovely to meet Lesley and her husband John, they were very welcoming and friendly. Thank you so much for letting us use your home, we would love to return!

Staycation for friends

We were welcomed to the property by Lesley and John and shown around they made us feel very welcome. As this is their home they have very carefully and cleverly hidden their belongings away. It was a great social house with loads of room for us all and was even child friendly with having a one year old there which made it easier and relaxed. The house was lovely and clean and had everything and more which you could hope for, probably the only thing missing was a hot tub! Check in and out was very easy probably my only negative comment would be the check in and out times (5pm check-in and 9am check out) but this due to Covid19 and making sure the property was properly cleaned. Lesley did however let us check-in at 4pm as the property was ready early which was great for us. I would highly recommend this property to a large group of friends or a large family. We went to spend time with each other and this house was perfect for this.

Delightful stay

We had a wonderful stay at this property to celebrate my fathers 70th birthday. The place is set in an idyllic location with lovely views of the Dorset countryside. The house is very modern, clean and had an open plan layout which is ideal for families. The hosts were very welcoming and went out their way to make our stay comfortable. Thank you!
