"Older inn, but we were looking for economy. Our room was very clean with lots of room to store for suitcases out of the way. Staff was helpful, friendly, and polite. The coffee was excellent. Standard breakfast fare for this type of motel (waffles, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, packaged and fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, oatmeal, bagels.)"

"Room was great, breakfast was plentiful and yummy! The only issue I had was that their WiFi was terribly slow and doesn’t even load anything. I couldn’t do any of my project online using their WiFi - Instead, I had to use my personal hotspot! Regardless, I really recommend the place and will definitely go back to stay when I need. "

"I think the property was great and location was on point. I had the handicap room which was very nice and taking a shower was safe for me. The only thing that I would prefer would be a higher toilet bowl. It was very low and hard to get up. Otherwise everything else was fine. The breakfast was also very good "

"My husband and I were looking for a place to stay the night on a road trip up to Acadia so we booked at Howard Johnson. My only complaint was the overpowering smell in the lobby during check-in. However, once we got up to our room that smell was gone. The room was spacious and clean and I absolutely loved the look of the 1970's vibe. The bed was comfortable. Check-in and check-out was great and the staff members were kind and helpful. We did not have breakfast in the morning, so I can't comment...

"We had a wonderful three night stay at Captain Sweetser's while in Searsport for a wedding. Lori and Ginny, the owners, were friendly and welcoming to us and to our dog. They constantly checked in to see if we needed anything, made recommendations for places to go, and made a fantastic breakfast every morning. Highly recommend!"
