"An excellent stopover on a long journey north! It indeed has the air of a conference centre, and obviously was very quiet as there was no conference on, and that suited us. Our single bedrooms were small, but adequately equipped with a comfortable chair, and tea-making facilities, and nice en-suite. The rooms were very quiet, and had very comfortable beds. "Loved the mood of the place, middle of nowhere in the midst of some beautiful countryside. Gardens were top notch but weather sadly precluded their use. Staff were helpful and room spotless. Only slight downer is that the shower was scalding. Could not get cold water into the shower. Only there for 1 night so not a big deal. Parking easy and EV charger useful. Breakfast was tasty and well presented. Much to like about the Manor. 👍Recommended."

"This place is a fabulous bargain. Amazing price with a really good breakfast included. There’s no skimping in care, the room was faultlessly clean, and was spruced up each day of our stay. This particular room was a little small but with a big, comfy bed. Perfect for a base to sleep when going out during the day. Staff on site where hard working and helpful. We definitely will be back"

"Main issues were a) the "bistro" and bar area looked nothing like the pictures on the website. Most of the dining tables had been replaced by a pool table and dart boards. Broken or unused furniture was piled up at the side of the room. After taking one look, we decided that eating here was not an option. Similar unwanted furniture etc was piled up on the stairs to the second floor. All in all, there is no way this could be described as a tidy place b) our room was immemdiately above the bar....

We had a child of 8 with us so it was a bit unfair on him. The bathroom had no fascia on the shower temp control and there was mould on the ceiling. "Located in centre of town there was a lot of noise from people going to and from pubs/clubs, also a lot of boy racers in there cars driving around and around constantly past our room window, we did stay on a Saturday night so probably busier than other nights, but had to have window open due to being hot and no air conditioning, and even with window closed still quite noisy. Made it difficult to sleep till about 2am when people started going home, obviously this is out of the hotel’s control and...

"Don’t often leave reviews but if you want a break from the Monday to Friday hotel life, this place is ideal. Was greeted as soon as I arrived and offered a choice of rooms. The room had a massive bed and a seating area, plenty of tea and coffee and was offered fresh milk which I accepted. Breakfast was made to order, had a beautifully presented fruit salad, followed by a great fry up made with quality ingredients. Even the WiFi was great "
