"Near Mall, which has a beautiful carousel-Merry go round, which is worth stopping to see! Many restaurants close by."

"Easy on/off the interstate. Property is spacious, clean, and seems to be new. There is a gas station nearby with a car wash. Enjoyed having lunch at The Poke Bowl across the front parking lot (great restaurant, FRESH ahi tuna!). Breakfast foods were varied and better than many free hotel breakfasts. Check-in was quick and Shiloh was very kind, which I appreciated after 9 hours of driving."

"The property was clean and in a good location. The only comment is that I don't understand why we had to pay for parking and the parking fee was not made clear to us when we checked in but not a big deal."

"Went to see UIUC campus and stopped here for the night. It was quieter because we came in July, and that might make a difference at other times, but this place was really convenient and our room was a good size. I didn’t think much of the pool but I had no time to use it anyway. Right next to campus. "

"The hotel is right near the center of town for all of the bits and pieces that locals would like. Mostly food, but also some of the attraction areas, and the bar/grills downtown at night."

"This is a great option for independent-minded travelers who want something clean and spacious near the university. There is not much in the way of front desk staff but they communicated smoothly about check in and check out. There is an excellent bakery downstairs on the premises. The kitchen is stocked with basic pots, pans, utensils, etc. Tons of space. There is a bit of street noise as the property is at a busy intersection, so bring your earplugs just in case. Overall, good value."

"We had a very pleasant evening and morning at the Candlewood. Exactly what we needed: microwave to heat up dinner and coffee in the morning in the room. Countertops were nice in bathroom and kitchenette, big refrigerator and dishwasher. Better than average some cotton sheets! Staff very friendly and heloful. "

"All staff I interacted with were polite and friendly, including front desk, breakfast worker, and housekeeping. I want to give a special shout-out to the very kind young woman staff member whose job title I'm unsure of. She was wearing a black shirt with black pants (I think), and she had an orange scarf around her head and was African American. When I got to my room after check-in, the key wouldn't work. She went upstairs to help three times for me and got a new key made--but there was...

"It was amazing until the receptionist told me I couldn’t take my children swimming she said it was only 4 allowed in the pool I didn’t understand I have 5 children plus me I rented a one bedroom suites which sleeps 5 I only had 2 extra with one being autistic and the other a baby didn’t see why me and the others couldn’t swim so with that I give this stay bad comments with customer service my children cried I had to pay extra to take them to an aquatic center "
