Hiking and biking trails abound; fish and boat the nearby blue-ribbon Bitterroot River or local lakes. If you like to play in the snow, several possibilities exist for Nordic and alpine skiing. There are numerous historical sites to visit and cultural events to attend. Historic downtown Stevensville will delight you with its small-town shops, cafes, and fine-dining restaurants. Close to the town of Darby, MT where the Yellowstone Ranch from the show can be seen. Excellent shopping in Stevensville, Darby and Hamilton. And then there is simply….relaxing. Soak in the views of the surrounding mountains from the comfort of a deep wrap-around porch or relax by the firepit and watch a dazzling sunset over the peaks. Get up close and personal with local wildlife as deer and other animals often wander by. This charming cottage is fully furnished and features a living room area with comfy sofas, original artwork and a large separate bedroom and full bathroom. There are games to play and books to read; connect to WiFi or watch dvd’s or movies on the Amazon Firestick TV. The adjoining kitchen is stocked with all your cooking essentials plus there is a barbecue grill on the porch. Dine inside, outside, or in town at your pleasure. When it’s time to retire for the evening, comfortable beds and peaceful quiet await you. The bedroom can be configured for either a king sized bed or 2 separate twins. Also, one of the living room sofas folds out into a third over-sized single if needed.
As hosts, we can assist you with local needs and we’ll give you the level of privacy you desire. We are a small working farm on 11 acres and both the cottage and our home are situated there. You are welcome to roam the property; visit the honeyberry patch and maybe see what we're up to in the vegetable garden.
