Welcome to Stuart Cottage! This delightful 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom cottage in the heart of Staunton, VA, is the epitome of quaint charm and cozy comfort. This cottage is perfect for those seeking a serene escape with all the conveniences of modern living and it's just a short walk to downtown and Stuart Hall. Guests can enjoy three floors of spacious living, outdoor living space with firepit, and a foosball table in the basement media room. See below for more details of the space.

We selected the Stuart Cottage mainly based on it's location in Staunton. We had people coming from western North Carolina, eastern North Carolina and eastern Maryland. The home was great for our purpose, simply to meet and to do several things. The kitchen is among the most well appointed that I have encountered in staying at a VRBO property. We cooked all of our meals and had everything we needed to prepare the meals. The property was very clean, well furnished and comfortable. We were very comfortable while staying there. A couple of minor points. The property is not accessible for those with limited ability to climb stairs. There is no access to the property that does not require climbing a flight of stairs. If I had known that before booking I would not have booked the property. Second, we encountered a significant winter storm over the weekend. There are no snow removal methods at the property accessible to the visitors. Fortunately one of our party brought a snow shovel so we were able to accomplish basic snow removal. Overall, it is great property in an idyllic location.

This is a very well appointed and stocked house. We very much enjoyed our stay and all there was to do in Staunton. We also loved being able to walk to the downtown and not be completely reliant on our cars. Great place.

What a beautiful cottage! Everything was pristine and the owners were so generous with the amenities! I had a wonderful time and was the lucky one who got to stay in the beautiful Master bedroom. The shower is gorgeous! If I ever return to Staunton, I’ll be sure to rent this lovely cottage again!

Great stay

This is the second time we stayed at this place. It’s clean, comfortable, and adorable. The only negative is the approach to the house itself, which includes a steep driveway as described in the listing. There are some great lighting and the steps up to the house can be tricky.

Sisters Getaway

The Stuart Cottage was the perfect place to stay for a 3-day mini vacation with sisters & their husbands. The house was very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable and amenities were abundant. Location was great. We could walk into town or drive a short distance to local breweries and restaurants. We chose Staunton as an easy meeting spot between Baltimore and Raleigh. We enjoyed the shopping district, restaurant selection/ quality and local attractions, especially the glassblowing demonstration at Sunspots Studio. Loved Reunion Bakery and Mill Street Grill! We would definitely stay there again!

I originally booked Stuart Cottage as I was looking for a place in Staunton while I was dealing with a serious family emergency. I am so lucky to have found this place on VRBO. Check-in process was a breeze, the property was immaculately clean, fully equipped kitchen with everything one could want (although I didn't have the opportunity to use it much - other than the coffee maker), nice sized bedrooms and baths, great washer/dryer, and excellent location in walking distance to Downtown. Mostly though, I want to complement the compassion and wonderful assistance of the property booking staff. I had to extend my stay a couple of times due to changing circumstances, and I was so grateful for the very timely communication as well as the team making it so easy for me to change my departure date. I would absolutely recommend staying at Stuart Cottage, you won't be disappointed.

This cute cottage has it all

The owners provided all the amenities of a hotel. The cottage was clean, with great furnishings and the kitchen was really well equipped for cooking big meals. The town is fun and historic. We would stay again.

Great weekend

The house was updated, clean and was a good fit for our weekend. We enjoyed the gas fire pit in the back yard. Communication with the host was excellent and all inquiries were answered very quickly.
