6/10
Good items: more spacious rooms than others we stayed at in London; very good private parking area; bathroom was well renovated; 10 minute drive to Heathrow;
Things to know: no elevator (older building with 2 floors); no air conditioning, and it was fairly warm so we left the window open (street was quiet and not a problem with noise over night); “breakfast” was very basic with only instant coffee available, packaged snacks and breakfast cereal, so we waited and had breakfast at Heathrow; we felt the bedding was clean but both wondered since it didn’t have the “crisp white” look of other hotels.
We were charged a 20 pound deposit for the keys, which was returned when we checked out.
Additional rules: no food or drinks in the room, shoes not to be worn in the rooms, which was a little odd.
We were under the impression the place was being renovated and has the potential to be very nice.
It was in a residential area & required a drive to find decent restaurants.
